Its simply a no compromise product, check out the rear subframe with all the ally arms and links.

Wow - there's a lot of weight saving going on there in the suspension components at least, some of which look rather expensive!

what the heck is that machine at the end

Also, are alu suspension arms really that special? An Evo has all that stuff for example, and that is positively cheap in comparison with the NSX.

Back then it was pretty unusual until Thixotropic casting was better understood. We're talking the hubs aswell.

The Evo does not have 'all that stuff' at all. The whole thing is ally.

Im guessing its for the factory alignment which must check static and dynamic toe etc.

This makes me cry as I don't fit :(

I seriously wonder if Honda will build anything like this ever again,

Most of the stuff then, didn't realise the knuckle was alu too, surprised it's strong enough tbh. I watched the making of Elise documentary and they ditched the idea of using an aluminium rear subframe because it wasn't strong enough and cracked under testing.

The S1 Elise also used alloy uprights on the rear suspension.

Just looking at those NSX parts you can see there is barely a spare gram of material in those wishbones.

How tall are you?

*potentially crosses NSX off list of cars I'll never likely own but doesn't stop me wishing*

edit/

Still got your VTiS?

6'3''

There might be something that is doable but it would be a tight fit in any case.

Still have the VTI-S...................................just. ;)

Is it sad that I thought this was a Forza 3 thread & am dissapointed. :o
Awesome B class car & one of the best in the game straight out the box so to speak. :D

I've decided that a seat is a luxury and not a necessity in one of these and will actively seek a way to secure myself to the floor in order to fit.

I never quite understood this about the NSX..

That's all of them listed for auction currently in Japan, 12/13 of them are automatic. What's that all about??
