How to build an NSX

Just trying to lay down some boundrys.

So a FR and AWD supercar is less Exotic than a MR one?

I presume you draw this conclusion based upon the fact more FR cars are on the road then MR ones thus making MR exotic and FR not?

I just find it amazing that you have the view that if a cars not MR it can't be a supercar.

Yay you finally twigged.

What has AWD got to do with the engine position though? There are plenty of front engined AWD cars and I can't think of a single one which would rank anywhere near to being a 'supercar'. Lamborghini on the other hand....

No i knew exactly why you have the opinion you do, i'm just trying to drag the reasoning out of you, i continue to find it very strange why a fast FR car can't be exotic.

My point about AWD is if a FR layout car can't be exotic why should a "dull" AWD Rear engined supercar be classed as exotic, i mean afterall if we use your FR layout reasoning and apply it to AWD equipt "supercars" well.... AWD systems are fitted to Landrovers and how dull are those.........

A car is exotic because A. it costs lots to buy, B. you hardly see any of them about and C. is very fast, it could be side wheel drive for all i care.

Most of the stuff then, didn't realise the knuckle was alu too, surprised it's strong enough tbh. I watched the making of Elise documentary and they ditched the idea of using an aluminium rear subframe because it wasn't strong enough and cracked under testing.

Including the actual Body In White.

Just like my car :P

ally rear drums, ally shocks, ally hubs, ally calipers and the best bit, ally wiper arms :P

Yeah, I dont think you can lay down any sweeping rules about engine placement. It just doesnt work as theres so many exceptions.

However, I will say that a proper sports car drives the rear wheels....

Except with none of the performance :p

Which begs the question, when are you going to get back on your horse and stop buggering about with this milk float crap? :p

God knows, when I have some money and motivation to having a smart car again, rather that just using them to come back to a work car park and go home only to find more marks or whatever from a ding.

Ive been spoilt now though with how cheap petrol appears.

If you can re-read your post above again, and not have it scream "second car" at you, then you shouldn't be allowed to work on a car again IMHO.

If he's loving cheap motoring, but is obviously still a major car nut, then a second car sounds like the obvious next step no?

The Insight is my second car. :p

Id rather have a decent car that I can use everyday tbh. I have two small children, the opportunity to have a weekend let alone a weekend car is some what rare.
