And for your interest I've sat in many a Child Protection meeting and To Catch A Predator was discussed at length.
All the high powered Child Protection Chav's also thought that the programme was a great idea and we even had our own ITV version for 2 episodes.
And one thing it certainly didn't teach paedo's is to not to do it because they carried on doing it.
Several of them even turned to Chris Hansen saying they guessed he was going to be there.

Love those people. Im very very smart because I expect everyone to qualify everything they say and explain any points which could be misinterpreted to avoid having to deal with the actual issue.

The language you use is very nice ProOrWhat but you are talking crap. Of course it helps. How do you tell if a child you are talking to online is actually the age they say. How do you know that the child you are going to meet is not part of a setup until you get there.

It will scare a lot of paedophiles away from meeting children like this. You don't have to be stupid to fall for this. Thats why they do it. It has been proved that a lot of people would do a lot of bad things if they were certain of never being caught for the crime. The higher the chances of something going wrong, the fewer people will attempt it.

Pure comedy when you first come across this show lol, it was on sky regularly. Definately good entertainment but makes you wonder, I mean some of these guys were sent a pic over the net of a girl who is actually 18+ but claimed to be say 14 or 15, so were they attracted to a minor if they liked what they saw in the pic? In certain countries the age of consent is 14-15 and so what they did wouldn't even be considered wrong, yet on this show they are getting labelled 'paedos'. Physically many girls are mature by 14-15, and many years back they would be married possibly even with kids at that age. I guess the question is where do you draw the line.

So when you are looking online on childrens chat forums you should avoid talking to children that say that they are underage and avoid meeting up with them in person. Sorry, silly me. They are going to have a field day when they dont meet children online or in the real world. Thats the idea of the WHOLE thing. To pretend to be a child and do what a child would do.

Im quite happy for you to explain to me how the show has taught paedophiles how to avoid getting caught online.

Well it's taught them all to be a lot more cautious. I can think of a million ways to get out of that situation... the fact they admit to everything only shows further how smart they are.

Bit hard to come up with a decent cover story when they've got chat logs showing that your intention was to meet for sexual purposes....
