How to delete a game from your Steam account

It's a massive **** if you ask me, i'll be deleting it. It's very presence is a reminder of the good money I wasted on it.

Shame it can't be gifted to someone else.

In future you might be able to, but now it is gone from your account forever.

Would love to be able to sell off older games, even at a reduced rate and have the credit in my steam wallet.

Deleting them for nothing? Nah, not at the moment, easy enough to scroll past them.

Thanks for posting though OP, at least I know it can be done. :)

None. I don't see the point.

Yeah there are some Steam games I've got that suck really badly but I've never cared enough to want to permanently delete them from account. Is it really that hard to just not install them and scroll past them?

I feel the same.

I just have shown the games I have installed. I really don't care about any of the duds I've bought or games I don't care about any longer.

It'll be news when you can do this and it goes into your gift library thing, where you can then either sell, trade or gift to others.

For some reason Left 4 Dead 2 beta shows on my Steam list so I'll be happy to finally get rid of that. It's always annoyed me!

They actually maintain (or did - I'm a bit out of date on it) 2 versions of left 4 dead 2 with the beta an ongoing platform for Linux stuff and testing changes before they were put into the retail game.

Interesting - useful I think for people stuck with dodgy region versions of games I would expect. Personally I just move unwanted stuff into the hidden tab though so can't see myself using it.

I wish we could sell the games we didnt want on the market, steam and the devs could even get a cut like they do with cards, although it would result in less profits so couldnt happen.

Just seems a waste to delete a game I have paid for at some point.

I would like them to be saleable, however I think it's completely unreasonable for the developers to get a cut.
