How to delete a game from your Steam account

Anything you delete you can still get back on your account. I tried for reference sake. They keep a list of everything you paid for.

You sure about that, when you delete it says "If you proceed, your account will no longer own the following products:"

that's what i was told and has happened for me. if i want the games back i'll have to rebuy them.

i didn't realise you could favourite games so that does help, however i still think this is a good move from steam. I will never ever go back to MW2, nor will i play many of the other boring games i had in my steam library. Even games i've kept like skyrim, i'm unsure if i'll ever return, but i've kept for now just in case and now at least i know if i decide i want it gone, it's only a few clicks away.

No just checked and you can re-attach to your account just going via the help page.

You click on the game/ Its not in my library/ re-link to my account

That's it no need to talk to anyone just a couple of clicks away and its instantly back

You need to delete your entire steam account then mate and go log into Origin.

RO and RO2 are great games

Why would I want to do that? I've got plenty of good games on Steam, no need for Origin, I also have no need for piles of steaming dung like RO2.

Really? You're the first person I've seen not liking that game!

Genuinely, what doesn't float your boat with it? Not trolling just genuinely interested!

Granted I haven't played it for a while, but it was an absolute mess on release. It was more like an Alpha, and that really irritated me. Woeful optimisation and performance, bad bugs and glitches, lag, ridiculously bad player animations, clunky controls. The game just isn't remotely fun, I appreciate that the appeal to many will be the 'realism' aspect, but hardly being able to tell who is friend or foe is a pain, and it leads to far too many team kills.

I did try and go back to it a year or so after release, it felt pretty much the same. I guess it's just not for me.

Before anyone says 'Awww yeeeaaahh go play COD' etc etc, COD is dung as well. Give me Day of Defeat 1 or Source over this any day of the week.

Fair enough, I haven't had those issues but I can see why they put you off it.
