How to over volt a Titan, a 780Ti or a 780 guide

Close AB

Go into profile folder and delete everything except msi file

restart AB - then close it - run notepad as admin

click on file - click open - navigate to msi profile folder and open the one ven file( if runnung sli you'll have 2 ven files)

add your lines of text to the ven file- close and save - repeat for the 2nd ven if running sli

restart AB - if all correct it will ask you to reboot.

Should then be good to go

When you first install Afterburner (or clean install), you need to move a slider and then click apply. This will then create a profiles folder with the ven10 file. Close down AB and add the 3 lines to that file.

I will add this to the OP, as I missed this and twice it has shown to confuse :)

Respect, that worked :)

That wasn't the problem, the problem was that my VEN file doesn't match the one you said I should be looking for in your guide.

Hello, read this from start to finish, now as i have a non reference, can i still use the AB mod to give me 1.3mv to play with? i have followed the guide and have successfully done the mod, and now have 1.3 showing in Afterburner, where as before it remained locked, even when i enabled the unlock tab, not tried it yet, just wanted a heads up before i tested :)

Edit: does not show in GPU-Z as working so im taking it that it wont :(

GPU-Z will read it wrong and the only tool that gives the correct reading is AfterBurner. Give it a whirl with temp monitoring, just to be safe and see what you think :)

As the mod goes, you have done everything correctly :)

Well using 50% fan speed and then run the render test on GPU-Z wait 5 minutes for it to settle and then jumped up the volts and the temps did indeed rise, so it would appear to be working, down side tho could not get past my best overclock on stock volts which was plus 130 on the core, so im guessing that hitting my limit on the GPU, still it was worth a try, thank you

Did you use the Gigabyte BIOS or is yours the reference WF model? In truth, I would be cautious of doing the mod on air cooling and if under water, I guarantee you will get higher clocks with 1.3V at your disposal.

Its this one here

I did not use the bios that you posted, because they were all for reference cards and as far as im aware probably do more harm than good, so stuck with what i had, i want to put it underwater but no full blocks available that i know, il guess il have to wait it out, happy enough for now, it was only for bench purposes that i wanted to see how far she would go :)

The card gets close to 1300 Ghz now, and boost quite well outta the box too, so im not to upset, tho more is alway nice ;)

Cheers

Ahhh ok. I have included a BIOS for the WF also in the op but it does come with risks. I don't blame anyone for not doing the mod , as the gains are minimal in games but can be noticeable in benching.

Well i flashed you bios after all, but gpu still wont go past 1280, so im not going to push anymore, corrupted my ssd last night trying so had to do a restore, so the extra volt are no use to me im afraid, might be a good thing in the long run tho ;)

Can anyone with a 780 Classi confirm that the sky-Classy-Vbios-rev2 is the correct bios. When I issue the commands in nvflash it is telling me that it is the wrong PCI subsystem ID and that I am almost certainly about to flash the wrong firmware? Don't remember the same message when I was flashing my ref 780 and MSI OC 780.
