How to overclock a 7850 past 1050MHz?

My dabbling with MVP led me to believe that it is pointless. Some games show slight fps benefits, others show losses and some won't even start with MVP enabled. It also seems to work better with NVidia cards than AMD.

Forget about it until the technology improves.

Strange, Have you got the newest version of Virtu MVP?

yes, does it rely on some other driver or application to be enabled to work?

Yeh, it seems to do strange things, if i put virtual vsync back on I get normal FPS again but I get glitching with the textures. I'm guessing without virtual sync I might be getting massive fps gains because the MVP thing isn't working properly and it's not rendering everything so I'll get higher fps.

I think I might just disable it, it seems to cause more problems than good...

Just rebooted, turned of Virtu VSync; Ran Heaven and my framerates got worse 52.1 FPS 1313 lol

I think it's **** to be honest and hopefully as it matures it will get better.

I just recently bought an XFX 7850. I wiped all of the drivers off of my pc, downloaded Asus GPU Tweak, and downloaded the 12.4 Beta Display Drivers (but nothing else, so no CCC). However, when I go to advanced mode in GPUTweak, I can check the Overclocking Enhancement thing, but I don't have an option to change the voltage. The voltage doesn't even show up on the screen (next to GPU Clock, Memory Clock, and Fan Speed.) Any ideas why this would happening and how I could make the Voltage adjustable?

this mean voltage is fix. You can't adjust it. Same with my powercolor 7850 pcs+ here. Luckly the powercolor voltage is 1219,0 mV by default and I'm able to run it with 1200/5900 stable.

Guys I was able to flash my Powercolor 7850 to an Asus and my voltage is now unlocked.

My card is stable at 1260mhz on the core and 5600mhz on the memory. Is that good? I'm at 1.3v.

Flashing is still risky but I did it and everything works great.

I used atiflash.exe from a dos usb key drive.

I typed:

atiflash -p -f 0 asus.rom

Just replace "asus.rom" with whatever rom you're using.

Remember this is risky if you're doing it! It worked for me but it might not work for you!
