How to overclock a 7850 past 1050MHz?

Thats a really good score there, how are you managing to get just over 51fps @ 1080 core?

Have the same card and these scores are almost identical:

1049 core\5400 mem @ 1038mv
FPS = 51.9
Score = 1307
Min Fps = 27.6
Max Fps = 107.9

My Asic was 90.5%

Will try and get a screenie up later, that was my first overclock and there's nothing special about my setup, just i5 2500k @ stock. Loving this Msi TFIII 7850 OC. More later after work.:D

ASIC quality 77.3%

My video drivers restart at 1.225V while running heaven at higher than 1160 mhz(Stock 1.138V goes up to 1075 mhz for me). Lame! I'm gonna go cry in a corner now.

Ah well, it's a great card for the money regardless.

It's amazing. I've managed to go through a full lap of Heaven with the max setting on 1220 core, 1450 memory at 1.23V but when I try a bit of gaming I crash about 10 minutes in. How's that possible. I thought Heaven stresses your GPU.

My ASIC is 85.1% on my MSI 7850, just curious to know something i spotted in gpuz. It says my bus interface is PCI-E 3.0 x16 @ x16 1.1

Does that mean that my card is running a pci 1.1 as its downclocked to 300/150? I ran the render test by click on the ? and noticed the bus interface changed to PCI-E 3.0 x16 @ x16 2.0 with my clocks at 1050/1200

its normal,its just the idle clocks same as pci-e,when in idle mode its switches to 1.1 bandwidth,full load it switches back to pci-e2 bandwidth along with your core and mem speeds

I was just wondering how many people are getting coil whine with this card when over clocking. My previous GPU (GTX 260) and current PSU (AX850) both had very noticeable whine when on load, and I now get the same exact whine on my 7850. I've just RMA'd the PSU and I'm really hoping that the replacement will fix the problem.

How do I revert back to my HIS7850 Bios?

When I used the method on Page 43, I did save my rom and atiflash called it "Backup.rom" by default.

But when I run "atiflash -p -f backup.rom" I get an error.

I have renamed "backup.rom" to "his7850.rom" and run "atiflash -p -f his7850.rom" but nothing happens.

I'm afraid that my card may meet an early death like 555BUK's. :eek:

Any Takers? ;)

no coil whine here with msi 7850

Although I cant seem to get a stable 1200mhz on mine im happily sitting at 1100mhz and 6000mhz and tbh im simply stunned by the performance. I sold my gtx680 the other day as I wasnt really using it enough to justify the cost of the card and ive just had a game of BF3 on the 7850 and tbh i can barely see any difference, just a shame its so bloody noisy :(

Ive got the Assu DC II standard version, has anyone here got the sapphire twin fan version and if so how does that fare noise wise?

Hi there, photos and screenies as promised earlier. Only had time to do a couple of benches so far but this card is looking very promising. Oh by the way the other card in the picture is my Msi GTX470 with the Gelid Icy Vision cooler, it has served me well and I put it in to show the size difference.:D
