how well could ocuk forumites run this country?

I'd quite frankly be scared at the thought of quite a few of the members here ever getting into a position of power although perhaps it would temper their more extreme leanings, I've got a few mates the same - great people but the idea of them ever achieving power would probably cause me to leave the country and they know this. :)
 
Hmmm... individuals from the forum, not way but the entire forum possibly.

But in way we'd be a mini democracy anyway!

I'm all for tighter immigration control on economic grounds, balancing the need to keep worker numbers up with (especially during certian short periods) with the economic benefits of keeping those who will not be a net economic benefit out of the UK. That's not what some people who want immigration control want though, they want to base their judgement on something far more arbitary about who can and can't come here.

But the UK would be come the worlds leading supplier of "Mustard based products" including the revolutionary "Mustard hair growth formula"

And it would be like a kind of weird everyone living in "villages" being "English" the only food we would be able to eat is ploughman's lunches and we all be sent back to re-education facilities to learn about Brunel and Constable and Pratt and witney and other "great heroes of British past"

Wikipedia would become the new bible and font of all knowledge, no one would give you time of day unless you quote from the "holy sauce."

It would be quite interesting to have a 'OCUK General Election event' - take a few members which would be up for it then in a weeks time vote on who you think would be the best 'Prime Minister' for the country.

I would assume the forum as a whole is 'middle ground', its just people who are more 'dedicated to the cause' who raise their voices.

It would be an interesting democracy to say the least.
