And considering a lot of people will forget to claim their redemption, giving them bonus moolah.Yep. It's a steal!Wait guys, am I reading this right?
(£36 x 3 months) - 30 (quidco) = £78 for a year with the Pre 3? This is mad!!!![]()
I usually measure these things by asking, how often would it annoy me. eg every day, month etc. It depends what you need but 8Gb wouldn't bother me. But I hate being tied into long contracts, so I would go for the 8Gb over the 24 month contract any time...So, anyway, I know it's a totally subjective question and I won't really base my decision on what people say, but which is the lesser evil for you folks, 24 months or 8GB?![]()

I do hate Carphone Warehouse, I really do, and this just makes me hate them more...Wait, so isn't the redemption automatically paid back in? :s What do you have to do?

The phone so far seems great btw, the OS is a revelation and the UI is much better than any Android or iOS UI I've ever handled. Everything just seems to take one less swipe than it did on Android. I'm really hopeful Google will steal some of their UI tricks for Ice Cream Sandwich (which they said will be the first Android version that will be able to make do without buttons). The only things that bother me is the lack of some apps (eg. Skype, We7 and especially Kindle)
I'm hopeful that people will get round to making them now that the entire initial batch of Pre 3s has basically sold out within a week. I'm not missing widgets so far, because having an app open as a card (eg Evernote) serves the same purpose of being able to give you the same information at a glance, but I haven't yet figured out how to set them to open at launch, or at least to put their shortcuts on the main homescreen rather than in the launcher list.
Skype comes built in, you add it as an IM account, along with the other supported protocols (GTalk/Yahoo).
Install Preware, the chances are high someone has created a auto start app. I also recommend Mode Switcher - this allows you to set conditions and events. I use basic features for example at midnight I turn off all services bar normal telephone/sms. Save battery over night and not wake me up with emails.
I occasionally make Skype calls to friends abroad, as well as to non-geographical UK numbers (0845 etc) cause numbers like that don't come included in my free minutes and it's loads cheaper than my network's rates. But I can do that stuff from my computer, the only app I'm REALLY missing is Kindle. I tried Kindle Cloud Reader but they don't support the WebOS browser yet, only Webkit-based ones (Chrome and Safari - yep, not even Firefox or IE). And of course there aren't any Webkit-based browsers on the WebOS app catalogue.
probably the same deal but choose the auto 160 cash backWhats the best option for the Pre 3 without going through redemption?
