I agree actually. I have to qualify it of course as not actually having my G2 on hand yet, but just from all the reviews I think the Quest 2 is actually arguably likely to be the better overall experience for many. Obviously the G2 wins in visual fidelity, great built in audio solution and should also be more comfortable for most (even after strap mods for quest), and yes will likely be less demanding to run on your PC... but there is more to the overall experience than that. The Oculus software stack is far, far superior to WMR at the moment and quality of life things such as tap for full passthrough, controllerless hand tracking, insane controller battery life, better tracking volume and handling of tracking loss/resumption etc etc... plus it can play standalone and wireless VR through WiFi which really can't be overstated until you've tried it... one of the things I'm dreading about my G2 is the return to a tether. Even for those of us that play seated games the most, that wire is still a faff compared to going wire free, less of a problem than in standing games sure but good lord I can't wait until we can get a wireless link with no noticeable compromise on latency/compression.
