The price might reflect the stock levels, there may be so few in the EU that the price drop isn't needed. I can only think amazon or DSGI would sell them cheap

Hmmm... Do you think this would run Windows 8 (obviously when it came out)? It's ARM and could give it a new lease of life if WebOS was no good... I only ask because at £60 I would be tempted to see if a friend could pick me up one over in the US... If they are available reasonably easily...

EDIT: No that wouldn't work because you'd need the 32GB one minimum, which isn't $99... Unless they have MicroSD slots (which I don't think they do)?

If it went to £50 I wouldn't buy one. Not being controversial for the sake of it. Just genuinely do not have a need or even desire to own a tablet that I will never use.

Too late, they sold out everywhere the price was dropped. It seems that some places are still planning price drops, but not yet, it could be international drop at amazon, so watch out for that to happen. Apparently there is a drop coming, most likely to hit on Monday.

Actually I think a bulk buy would be a bad idea. The deal hasnt officially gone live yet, so we have no idea which retailers have them in stock and whether they will have a maximum order per customer in place (which I assume they will given the dramatic price cut).

For all the hassle just to save a bit on shipping, which lets face it wont be a huge saving as a tablet is a small and light thing anyway, i just dont see it working well. Especially since it will have to be shipped by the organiser to everyones home address on top of the original price.

Better off ordering one ourselves and just put up with the slight extra cost.

Edit - Hmm seems deal is already live and its sold out everywhere :(

You'd probably use it more than you think if you actually had one, the same goes for many naysayers.

At £50 you WOULD buy one, to at least fiddle with and then if you don't use it you'd probably be able to make a small profit as stocks would be flying off the shelves and not everybody will be able to get one that wanted one, etc.

What stops us ordering one from the US if they're in stock again? Surely the import duty won't be all that high.
