i rang hp around 10am today, and the guys where surprised at the prices in america but knew about it, guy i spoke to expected the price cutting to happen on monday, if it happens

I think I'll just keep the HP Store open in a tab and refresh it constantly just in case. Got 3 to order if it does drop!

They've certainly created plenty of interest. Been thinking about getting a used Vega but if this goes for £200 notes, i'll get one. Goes to show that their original pricing was way off the mark.

I reckon you'll still be able to flog them for around 2-300 quid on the bay once the stock has run out.

If the price on these does drop in the UK, would buying one from say Amazon at full price be a wise idea? I believe HP are refunding the difference to people who bought a full price one in the US so it would be safe (ish) to assume they would do the same here.

The smart thing to do would be to find a shop that sells one, reserve it, then go in and buy it on Monday if a price drop happens.

Down to £275 on Amazon at the minute. 3rd party seller though.

Amazon were selling them direct earlier, they seem to have pulled their stock, perhaps because of the price drop.

Reserved 4 at argos. Two due in at my local on monday and the other two at a different one on wednesday plenty of time for them to drop.

Checked the purple shirts and there seems to be a grand total of 4 within 50 miles of me. I'm hoping they start selling them on the HP store.

Apparently, Best buy pulled them from it's US stores because it had too many, bad PR and they dont have to deal with returns. in the UK, those retailers that only have a few will probably just sell them and deal with people on a case by case. It is possible that some stores have pulled the stock in preparation for a return, i think amazon have already done this.

No. If the price drops on the site then the reserve price drops. If it doesn't you just argue with them.

Just reserved the 16 and 32gb ones. Here's hoping the price drops as these would be awesome to just have lying around the house.
