Purchase justification at its finest.

The RRP is £89 and £115. Thats it. Doesnt matter what the "original" one was.

At these prices you KNOW you are being ripped off, for a piece of kit thats already obsolete.

If you STILL purchase knowing all these things then God help you.

The only thing thats driving this madness, is peoples envy, and the fact that others have got something that they cannot seem to get. Meaning the have nots are experiencing feelings of inadequacy that they need to address by persevering until they actually have one, regardless of the cost.

For £89 it was a great little toy, this changes when the price is more than double.

Seems like another modern Britain syndrome to me.

Wait a few months and watch Ebay FILL up with second hand Touchpads that all the morons find that they actually have no use for!

I agree with everything you say here. Absolutely everything.

I guess it's the stupendous turn around everyone has made on the price situation. A few pages back everyone was willing to slate the ebay profiteers selling the Touchpad at £200...Now everyone is buying touchpads from retailer profiteers.

As far as ebay sellers being unreliable? It appears most of the touchpads available are from sellers with a very high star rating....Argument falls through.

I have nothing against consumers purchasing touchpads for £200 btw. I have been very tempted at this price.

Lol exactly. Took a few days for their brains to justify it to themselves.

When they look back at the desperation, they will regret it.

You can get refurbished Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1s for £300. (just found some from a reputable seller) What's £100 eh? :) Obviously it's not that much if you're willing to pay that much extra on top of the lower RRP prices for a Touchpad ;)

Where did you spot that, as only one I spotted was an American seller

Yes but it's all about price, it may have only been £30-£40 more but I would have ended up hunting for the accessories and spending a lot more money/time. This is only stopping gap for when the tablet market goes into full swing, then I shall open my wallet.

Not to mention I won't be as bothered when the misses inevitably drops it :D

Well what a Shocker CLever Boxes got more stock as well (330608730841) so shock horror no shops who charge HP's RRP get any stock, yet deliveries are going to those who are charging more

I wouldn't be surprised is larger retailers just dont want anymore...they probably arent making any money on the sale, and increasing webtraffic/foot traffic causes more troubles than its worth.. Let clever boxes and other crummy retailers sell it..

But what does RRP mean anymore? It's confusing at the the best of times but for a discontinued product it's surely totally meaningless?

I actually went for this too mate

Much larger selection of apps and can easily be rooted to a proper android build and also well on its way to honeycomb :)

We can have our own thread haha!

I have a touchpad and I wouldnt pay £149 for it. It's not that good. And there are other android tabs for £99-£150 that are better.

Ebay. Don't let that put you off. Registered company with nothing but good feedback. I have emailed then for full details on what level of refurbishment these tabs have been through. I can pass this information on if you like? :)
