**HTC HD2 Thread**

Phoned voda about upgrade. They offered £34pm on 2yr contract with all the minutes and web. I asked for PAC code then was immediately offered same deal for £30pm but wouldn't budge on 24months. Still asked for code so hope they'll call back with something better.
I only want this phone to sell though!

why do you want to pick this phone to sell?

It says PLUS 300 extra minutes, unlimited land lines and unlimited email. I assumed because it says plus and because the other two things aren't in the normal package that the 300 is added onto the 900 standard? May be wrong!

Edit: Seems I'm right. When you add it to basket is says this:

Code:
Plan
18 month
[B]900 mins[/B]
Unltd texts
£40

[B]+ 300 extra minutes - exclusively online[/B]
+ Unlimited land lines
+ Unlimited mobile internet and webmail

Here in France, i get the phone for £200 and £60 a month for 3 hours talk time, unlimited text and unlimited internet. Still a lot of money!! But i do get 8pm to 6am free calls, but only in France...

To be fair, its one of the few things i miss about the UK!!

Looks good though!

wow! i never realised contracts where so bad overseas

nearly double the price for 1/3rd of the talktime

Vodafone phoned me yesterday to tell me the HD2 I was getting as an upgrade wont be available from them for a couple of weeks (was meant to receive it Thursday just gone). I've requested my PAC code but will probably hold on unless someone has any advice on getting it sooner on Vodafone whilst keeping my number?

I had a play with one today and I hate to say it really wasn't for me. The screen was washed out easily and Windows mobile it STILL not 100% touch compatible.

It was a lovely device to hold but it needs Android and a better screen.

3GS it is, then? :)

Ah sod it, I'm going to order one of these tomorrow. It ticks all the boxes I need it to.

It'll be better then my N95 at any rate. :D

Same here, after initially considering the n900 and buying into some of the early hype I have now decided to go for a hd2. Will be ordering one in a couple of weeks (if T-mobile have any stock!)

If you have no use anymore for your old N95 then those phone recycling places should give you around 80-90 quid for it, mine is quite battered after 18months of constant use and drops so it is my best bet for flogging it on.

I was considering the N900, the 3GS and the Motorola Milestone/Droid. the 3GS got discounted almost immediately, as the contract are crap in comparison to what you get for an HD2 and also you have to pay cash up front too. The Milestone, well simply I cant be bothered waiting for a UK network to pick it up and release it on contract! It looks nice enough otherwise. The N900, I dunno, I'm simply not convinced by it, it also has crap ebook reader apps available for it (love having ebooks on my phone, not having them isn't an option for me) and also the only navigation software available at the minute is Ovi Maps, which I'm not sure does turn-by-turn voice navigation, so pretty much crap to use while driving. WinMo has tomTom, CoPilot, Garmin, a few others, spoilt for choice really!

An old friend of mine is getting it, she's using some dodgy £30 phone at the minute.

anyone having problems texting?

some reviews places (users) saying they are.

Nah not really when you get used to the process...

I can see how people would have problems with it as it is really sensitive but as I said like any touch screen phone, when your used to it, it works fine :D

I've found the battery life to be a complete godsend compared to the Touch Diamond :p I turned on my Touch Diamond yesterday and just laughed at the screen size :D

Don't know whether to go for this or the Hero, never used an Android or WinMo phone, but heard lots of people saying how bad WinMo is and how good Android is.

Am in the same position here, currently using an unlocked N95 8gb (best phone i've ever had, owning it for near on 2 years is a testiment, I normally change every 3 months!!) with an o2 simplicity sim only.

Been toying with having a touch screen phone for a few month now, mate has a 3G iphone, it doesn't do it for me, don't know why, it just don't. Quite like the look of the android phones, but it was the original HTC HD that caught my attention and this HD2 really has got me going, apart from one thing, WinMo.

I've owned 2 phones with older versions, the o2 XDA2 and the Samsung i300, ok so the XDA was 2003 vintage and the i300 2006, but neither worked for me, literally. So i'm kind of wary about having another WinMo phone.

It's that sense ui that really intrigues me, is it really that nice to use? And does it really mask that you're using a WinMo phone??

Convince me! :D
