**HTC HD2 Thread**

I've got to chose between T-Mobile @ £35 / 18 months or Vodafone @ £40 / 18 months (and £90 cashback)... Decisions decisions.

It arrived! Thumbs up to the postie - he rang my mobile because I was out and said he'd leave it just inside the door and say that I'd signed for it :D.

hmmm: t-mobile just offered me free early upgrade on 24 month contract, 300 mins, unlimited sms, unlimited mobile internet for £18.50/month. Now if they can get stock before vodafone they maybe on!
Ok, Im thinking I might try this with T-Mob... how did you get them to offer that to you?

You have to basically have a deal you are prepared to go with in which to leave....

In all these cases you have to be strong and be prepared to walk away from your current deal :)

Write down everything you are getting from going to another network....

Price
Phone
Benefits
etc

Make sure you cover all your ground and lastly Good Luck :D

Asked for my PAC when they refused to offer an early upgrade and two days later they rang with that offer. No effort on my part.
Well I asked them how much it will cost me to get my PAC code now given that my contract ends on the 16th, and they said it would cost me £36! Merchants. I gave her a load of speil saying ok, fair enough, and told her the reason as to why. I can only hope they flag my account now and put someone in touch with me.

Im swaying quite a bit to Voda being the treatment I have had with T-Mob. They didnt give a crap when I phoned up to get support for my handset when the GPS breceiver broke, and I have been paying for a plan which I never ever fully use, so they are pratically getting free money off of me, but I can't do anything about it being on contract. Their lose.

So is Vodas data plan classed as "unlimited" as well!? lol

wow, they SHOULD NOT charge you for your PAC code. You should get it for free when your contract runs out by just ringing them and asking for it.

They are charging for a early contract release. I.e. a payment for the outstanding time left on the contract you signed up for

I'm 6 months into my 3 18 month contract. Got a N95 8GB and I am currently paying £15 a month for 600 mins, unlimited texts and internet.

I want an HD2.

What's do you think would be my best way of getting one, be it sim-free or contract?

Rang up and got a tracking number but doesn't seem to work on Parcelforce, looking up their reference numbers it appears i got one that is wrong, starts with 4 letters and then is 10 numbers..

Will call them again in a bit, wanna know if its out for delivery today!

Knock off the first two letters and last 3 numbers or something like that. That's what worked for me. Although when I did tracking showed the full tracking number

For those who've had the HD2 for a few days now, how are they finding it? Any crashes, problems etc. Looking on some other forums a few people have had various lockups, crashes after a few days. Also anyone got or had the pink tint on the camera that seems to be plaguing a few phones as well? I really can't decide between this and a Hero, think only thing that puts me off is WinMo, just keep reading how frustrating it can be. So wondering if i ordered a HD2 from MPD would i be able to send it back if i didn't like it (within so many days of course). I'm gonna go try have a play with one in a shop next week, but its if they have them in.

Only had my HD2 for a day now and SIM only went active this morning, so I'll post a better review in a few days regarding the things most reviewers miss out and the things you can't test in a shop (ie how it actually displays incoming texts, how to reply, etc etc).

Overall impressions are very good - the Facebook integration is seamless and very impressive. There's a few niggles, but hopefully I can sort them out/work out how to do it.

Can someone with an HD2 FROM T-MOBILE (not a reseller) please post pics of the hardware + the main screen (and any branding present in the software).

Appreciate it!

Cheers, tried that but no joy, searched for Parcelforces number format and Royal Mail say it should be like this:

Royal Mail said:
Parcel Force tracking number format: 13 alphanumeric string starts with 2 characters followed by 9 digits and ends with 2 characters.
Valid prefix: EA,EB,EC,ED,EE and CP

Neither worked though and my prefix is PQBN - think a call will be needed as something up there
