**HTC HD2 Thread**

Awesome. Ill be using it for emails, calls and texts. There are no decent data usage plans here so that's off, i have an iPod touch for wifi based browsing, music, games, movies etc so no need for that.

Looks like it will be my purchase. Also been looking at the Acer phones, but not sure of them.

The HD2 is sooo much better for browsing, music and movies. Can't beat the ipod/iphone for games though.

Install TCPMP and you can playback almost any video codec. Just copy the full 700 or 1.4GB file to the SD card and pop it in. No need to convert and sync. If you have a NAS, connect to the net share and stream you entire video collection.
 
I hardly have any games on it tbh. I like my touch, i doubt i'll stop using it. I need my phone for work related stuffs really since im freelance. my ipod will remain my toy :)

Nice to know about the TCPMP though!

Just got my hands on this phone and must say it's a little cracker :-)

I have a couple of questions and would be very grateful for any help/advice people could offer :D

Q1 - Whats the best hacked firmware everyone is using and whats the advantages?

Q2 - What are the essential software installs you guys recommend?

Got my wife one of these for £30/month free handset 300mins/unlimitedtexts and internet. 24month contract, with vodafone via mobilephonesdirect i think.
 
Dont know if i should hold out to see when the suposed HTC Supsersonic is going to be released, theres a press conference tomorrow at CTIA they expect it to be announced there.

Though im sure the uk release date might be a while away!
 
Just got this phone, what is the first thing i should do to it. Had a quick flick through and seen things about hacked firmware etc. Also where is a good place to get apps or links to must have apps :)

Seen the offer T-Mobile are offering seems really good,

600 minutes, 500 texts, unlimited web, free handset for £25 a month over 24 Months

Im just not sure what T-Mobile are like as ive never been with them?

I tried this but after installing when I went to use it I just got errors and no keypad/didnt work? any links to the specific one I should download?

Haven't changed the ROM yet, which ones are people here currently on?

I was also suprised that solitaire wasn't pre installed! :(
