**HTC HD2 Thread**

Well I finally grew a pair and upgraded to Elegancia rom last night. For the most part it went well with only a few niggles today. Battery useage does seem quite high but perhaps because I have been fiddling more. One problem I do have though is that downloads through OMarket are freezing about 35-38%. It could be down to the reception here at work although the signal bar never leaves full. I have tried reinstalling OMarket quite a few times but keep getting the same "Download failed - please check your internet connection and try again" message.

Ideas welcomed as always... :)

*EDIT* - Just to expand on this. I have a historically dodgy 3G connection at work so thought I would wait until I got home. I still get the same error at home and even after switching the Radio to 2.11.50.20. I then connected to my wifi and straight away OMarket was fine. It would seem that OMarket doesn't like my 3G connection when downloading...

can anyone help me out with some info please?
i have the chance to get one of these phones for £150
its a t-mobile version and i currently have a t-mobile pay as you go sim card
would my pay as you go card work in one of these phones? :confused:
id also like to know if its possible to have the weather updates and things via my home wifi connection instead of my sim as im pretty sure my credit would be charged

sorry if these questions are silly but im not clued up on phones as i have only ever had basic ones

the reason im tempted to buy one of these is because of the web browsing from my garden (as i dont own a laptop) and the music player
 
Afaik you need to check it is a 3G sim card but there are plenty of apps to turn off the data connection and have your WIFI do it for you.

thanks, im pretty sure its not as i have had this sim for the past 11 years :p
i do have a spare sim tho that came with my last phone (LG Shine) so i suppose i could change over to that if i need to
 
Having major problems with my hd2 atm, it just keeps randomly restarting and wont turn back on or just stays on the white HTC loading screen.
I have tried different roms and installed the latest official rom but same problem :mad:

Any ideas? if not im what can i do :(

Just tried to charge after one of these fits and noticed its not charging now

anyone been messing around with the android builds? if you have already installed hardspl then they are crazy easy to install - you don't even flash them as a new rom. ive tried most - very impressed, not quite solid enough for daily use in my opinion but they are about 90% there. brilliant work really.
 
Yeah I have been playing with them tonight.

Using the desire v4 version atm and its real nice. Going to try and use it for a few days and see how it goes.

Few things I don't understand yet and can't find some options such as contact options, and how to mark all as read in email?

Does anyone know if we can root our phones for unofficial apps or if we will be able to soon?
 
The build im using now seems excellent. Very stable. Using it as a main atm but its a bit of a pain without power optimisation. At the moment the battery is lasting me about 7 hours.

Everything else works apart from gps for me. The project really is coming along brilliantly.
 
It is worth checking out. It all runs from the sd card at the moment so you can still use winmo normally. All you need to do is unzip some files to the card and run them through file explorer to boot.

I have set up a dual boot system which is pretty cool.
 
Just had a play around with the V5 Desire build and stock Froyo. Really good work from the developers!

Still a bit slow though, which will probably always be the case until it can be flashed on to the internal storage of the phone.
