**HTC HD2 Thread**

Just installed 1.4d and wow, runs like a dream, get occasion screen lock but i had that in winmo I think i have the dodgy capacitive screen known issue where the screen randomly detect keypresses even though you havent pressed it. Must get it replaced one day.
 
You guys are right, mattc's build is nice and it works. I'm trying to decide if I want the Sense UI or not.
Hmm he must have released 1.6 just after I downloaded 1.5b...

Is there any reason why my GPRS internet works in apps but not in the default browser?

Im upgrading to mattc's 1.6 now. Can't remember what build im currently using but the touchscreen freezing is really annoying me. It says it is still an issue in the new build but im hoping it is not as bad.

Ive been using android as a daily now since the first few builds came out and I am loving it. All that I need is a bit more battery life.

1.6 is apparently quite buggy. I would definitely avoid it.
 
Well it's a strange one. It works in the different apps and widgets. It just doesn't load any web pages in the browser.
 
After using 1.6 for a day I found it annoyingly buggy. Good to see 1.6b this morning.

2.10.50.08.2 is the radio im using and have never had any problems.

I'm sure soundb0y's advice is good - though I'm on 2.12.50.whatever iirc.

I'd also consider changing to another build type if you're still struggling to get internet in the browser. I've read of the issue before but I haven't seen a suggested solution annoyingly :/
 
tried the new energy rom and its awful. keeps crashing, email won't sync properly and the new txt message thread system is awful! can anyone recommend a stable wm rom that's got some good graphics like the energy rom?

if only the wm messaging was as good as android, thats how its done!

Well, you can try that Mattc 1.6b ppp and then try rmnet if it still doesn't work.

I'm just trying out Mattc 1.6b ppp now - hate how long it takes to create the data store on first boot :)

edit: 1.6b ppp seems unstable. I'll try out rmnet now.
edit2: rmnet was a no-go too. Suckery :/ Going back to 1.5b and a manual zimage update.

I used Artemis a lot when using WM but I guess that's not really as shiny looking as energy. Way more stable though ;)

Dunno about shiny, but I have never been disappointed by a Dutty ROM :)

I updated to 1.6 yesterday to see if the browser would work. I didn't help but I didn't have enough time to change back.

I've tried it again today and it's working! The only difference is that I'm on 'G' network rather than 'H'. I don't even know what is going on.

What's rmnet? What problems are you having on 1.6? I've not been able to check bluetooth yet.

Just check the bottom of the first post in mattc's release thread. There's a rootfs file you can download if you're having network issues with ppp.

My issues with 1.6b were huge amounts of app crashes and locks. It could've been my sdcard needing a fresh format though (I formatted it before reverting to 1.5b and updating the zImage from the autobuilds). I've found that battery life is fine on the autobuild zImages without the need for undervolting or even setcpu so for the time being I'm pretty happy on this setup.
