Just recieved mine and must say it's LOVELY..

Works well, nice features, good keyboard and the screen is so crisp and clear :).

Well worth getting instead of any other winmo or the iphone IMO.

Damn you!

I'm torn between this and the iphone 3g. I really can't decide! I'm 75% iphone at the moment but the fully keyboard really appeals to me. Means you don't love half the screen when typing stuff.

Take some sexy pics of it for me :D

...oh and did you buy it out right or is it on contract? Seems only T-mobile have it so far?

Have you installed TomTom Navigator for it? If so, how does that run (choppy)?

What's the flash like? Could you take a picture in pitch black and upload?

It's on Contract with Vodaphone. Had to be business but they accept 'sole traders' so it's not an issue. £40 for the phone £39.95 (inc vat) contract, 700
anytime mins, 250 inclusive texts, Includes unlimited Mobile Internet and Email
Unlimited Landline Calls.

The LED seems to be a perminant light rather than a flash I guess because you can use it in video too.

As for the GPS, I've not got tomtom but I have used googlemaps and it kept up very smoothly at up to about 50mph ( journey I did didn't go faster roads).

how long has this phone been out for btw? i can upgrade next month but am quite torn between this, the touch hd and the omnia :/

It's been out sim free for just over a month I think, I'm still hoping Orange pick it up as a branded jobby.

Avoid the Omnia, this and the HD are MUCH better.

Whats the difference between a business contract and a personal one?

From what I can tell - the listed prices exclude VAT (which you obviously need to add), and that's about it. Still, don't want to spend £45 month (+£80 phone) just to get free internet) :(

That price is very high when you factor in the lack of interent. I really want a phone like this but the price is very prohibitive.

Maybe i should give vodafone a ring when i get back from holiday and see if they can work me a deal as it will be a month old by then.

Yeah it is quite steep.

If you wanted 600mins & unlimited texts, you can get the phone for £100 and £35 per month. Still a bit much imo.

I think the prices have gone up a little recently. My contract is 39.95 inclusive and the phone cost £40.

As for how is it better than the omnia, better screen ( VGA ) and the keyboard are the major aspects. Off hand can't remember if the omnia has a mem card slot, the Pro does have.

That's not terrible when you conisder that Orange ( my old supplier ) where asking £120 for the diamond or £200 for the omnia on upgrade.

For the Omnia the Dolphin 35 is 600mins/unlim texts for £30.. but the phone is £129.99.

The Diamond is £69.99 on same contract.

So really not all that bad.

Still even

Isn't terrible..

Orange don't offer free internet but the lightest 250mb package is £35/mo which gives you 1200 anytime minutes compared to the voda package of 700 anytime plus unlimited land line. The Omnia costs £80 on that package.

The compare it to the Iphone - £35pcm + £99 for the 8gig model with just 600 minutes.

Yes the Pro is the most expensive contract of the lot.. but it's also the best phone of the lot.

Pays your money takes your choice.

I struck lucky as my contract seems to have gone up since I ordered the phone but I think I'd still get the Pro.
