HTC Vive

Well that's like saying I bought something from Amazon with next day delivery and them sending it late. Pretty pointless paying for express delivery when the dept. getting the product out is slow.

I have spoken to Barclaycard today and they advised that there is a pending transaction of £746 on my account that was placed at 12:00 on 04/06/2016. They have only 7 working days to action on that pending tractions.

No need to get angry, while it is annoying that they have not sent you yours, they haven't broken any promises yet. You were told 'Start shipping April'. It's the day after release and you could receive in the next few days. Granted, the card thing is a bit of a fiasco, but they are working on it and have at least approached it better than Oculus. I would put blame more on Digital River who are a company who are supposed to be experts in dealing with mass payment systems??

If all that fails, to make you feel better you could remember some of us have to wait until May (me being one of them :() and soon you will have that bit of kit you have been dreaming about for months :)

Yea I can totally understand that, i was just trying to make you guys feel better hehe :( My brother in law is same wave as you guys and his is still pending. He is worried it will expire too.

I am worried for him because I want to have a go of his lol!!

I really wish I had the space and the money to get one of these. Unfortunately it'll probably have to wait until I finish my job this October, sell up and move somewhere else.

My Vive has arrived!

Here we go!

Just looking at reddit and theres an exert from an online support chap. The HTC worker made a comment " one of my customer has just informed me that he received the product with no notification of shipment".

Thats not helping with me clutching at straws.

Sorry to those still waiting but they are now being delivered. Just picked mine up from work as I took today off in prep.

I definitely had a tracking number. It left the C.P. at 2:14pm yesterday and arrived at ~1:00pm today.

If it's any consolation I'm powering the Lighthouses from the roof space so I've got to pull up all the loft insulation to run cables. That's not going to be much fun!

Well I've been setting up/playing since I posted my box above, I've only done the SteamVR tutorial and all 3 experiences in theBlu and I'm blown away. I haven't even played any games yet.

Yes you can notice the res. and pixels when you concentrate, and yes sometimes you need to just adjust the headset slightly to get the sweet spot back, but god the tracking is so good and when you are staring at fish centimetres away from your eye it's unreal. If you let your mind relax the immersion is incredible.

Gaming, and media consumption in general, has changed forever.

pretty much maybe not mainstream yet but it will happen imo. I genuinely don't think this will be a flop like 3D was.
