HTC Vive

Sometimes mine doesn't work either.

I would also suggest disconnecting all other non essential USB devices from your system. You can also remove the Vive USB drivers and try loading them again.

I've see it work in hangouts. So that is stopping me RMA ing for the time being. In the hope they have just not really developed it properly for the variety of systems. Although mine is fairly standard, my mobo is a few years old. I do have a knew PCI USB card that I got for the rift..doesn't work either.

I wouldn't want one with stuck/dead pixel for sure with the magnifying lens will make dead pixel stand out. wonder whats return/refund process like . or if order from overclockers .

Had a couple of hours on it this morning. Having not used any VR before I got the immediate wow factor as soon as I put it on. Headset seemed very heavy though but adjustments of the strap seem to have helped :)

I did get an error with the headset to begin with (108) which I eventually got rid of by basically unplugging unused USB devices and rebooting. I didn't notice any dead pixels so fingers crossed there.

Probably won't get a proper chance to play with it until Thursday when I will be looking to try out some actual games with it :p

So just so I'm clear.
1. Ensure Oculus home is installed, registstered and running.
2. Allow apps to run from Unknown sources.
3. Ensure steam and SteamVR are running.
4. Copy Revive folder and ReviveInjector.exe to the same location as the game executable (E.G. for DreamDeck - D:\Oculus\Software\oculus-dreamdeck\WindowsNoEditor\Dreamdeck\Binaries\Win64)
5. Drag executable (E.G. for DreamDeck - Dreamdeck-Win64-Shipping.exe) onto the ReviveInjector.exe executable.
6. Game then runs.

Right?
Quoting this for reference. Ta.

If you've bought none yet, I highly recommend, space pirate trainer, audio shield and zombie training simulator, all cheap and fun games. If you don't mind spending a bit more try final approach and the gallery :)

Maybe something is interrupting/taking over the camera data before it gets to SteamVR? Who knows ...

Hope you figure it out soon, it's quite helpful!

Charge is pending now too after the e-mail this morning :D

Never been happier to have money taken from me (or about to be taken).

Does that mean my bank have accepted the payment or can they still block it for fraud??

Q. Updating the lighthouses firmware. Does it have to be done via USB or can it be done over its bluetooth connection. Would be a bit of a pain to keep taking down to do so.

I have at least four "stuck" green pixels. Two of them are just off-centre on the left screen and therefore in focus in dark scenes (although so far I've only really noticed them in Apollo 11). HTC want me to send the headset back to their repair centre. The support process has been pretty painful so far - I contacted them for the first time a week ago on the day I received my Vive.

Also to answer the question about time between the pre-authorisation e-mail and shipping, I never received the pre-authorisation e-mail but I had a pending transaction on my card from 1st April for just under a week but didn't receive the headset until 19th April.

Needless to say my HTC experience has not been particularly inspiring.

If you really can't cope with them send it back. I've played tonight and to be honest mine are very very faint I think. I see it every now and again.

My focus on right eye is super quick so can see the muria very quick. There I have 1 semi bright green and 2 hardly visible green.

Left eye take an age to focus that close so the muria isn't obvious. I might have a couple of semi bright green, but nothing to worry about.

All in all...I don't think I'll bother RMA for that.

Thanfully no deadpixels...or blue lit that would be obvious on lighter worlds.

Still no luck with the camera...tried steamvr beta and no go still. That might be an RMA..but I'll do that in a month or two if it doesn't get fixed.

I've picked up Audioshield and I might get that Space Pirate Trainer but I'm not really a fan of early access. Anyone tried Holopoint as that looks pretty cheap? :)

Everyone is raving about holopoint, but I'm not keen. You have to spin 180 so much that it was starting to feel like I'd be wearing the cable like a dress. I prefer the Longbow dimension in Labs. Happy to rerun that over and over for my bow and arrow fix.

Has anyone finished Vortex in labs yet? It gets a bit mental for me after the 3rd boss fight.

looks like payment has been taken from my bank, those who have received the vive already how long did it take to receive after payment was taken (card users not paypal)
