HTC Vive

Great video showing the SteamVR tutorial, I guess it's a potential spoiler but I enjoyed watching it. This may be what I put anyone trying my Vive through first...

Stunning. They could have easily made a simple text based tutorial but went all out like only valve know how to do. Kudos.

Do we know how strict the "required" space is for each game? Budget Cuts is 2×2m but apparently you can teleport everywhere so you don't really need to move much at all.

I can squeeze the minimum 2x1.5m but I don't know how much fun that will actually be.

I can't answer your question :p, but I would have thought they could scale your in-game movement to the size of the area that you set with the grid, so if you don't have much space you just move a greater distance (in-game) in relation to your step.

Vive VR experience is far better than oculus imo, the room scale and controllers just trumps whatever oculus might have like mats quality and weight.

The only thing that made me consider the Oculus Rift was that some people say it has better visual quality. Though I can't comment not having tried either. Still glad I went for the Vive though - it seems a better package and experience.

Appears orders are going live now. Just received an email saying they're being processed. Guess this is more relevant to people who paid by CC as the payment may be taken soon.

Email shows box contents and list.

Aye; got the same email at 18:01! Now I'm hoping it does arrive before next Friday otherwise it's cry time in Munich till the 8th (well not really as good beer and sausage is probably a good substitute till I get home)!

I Pre-Ordered mine on the 29th February via credit card, and I just got an email to say that it's being processed. :D

Seems from Reddit almost everyone who pre-ordered is getting this email, so I'll put my excitement on hold for now :p
