On the Vive it does some super sampling thing and makes it look much better, but it's a bit of a performance hit. Also it's a global setting in steam so you would need to turn it back off again after.

As per my resolution, I just run it at whatever it's ment to be run at. 2160x1200 I think? This is with a 970 with a small overclock.
