HTC Vive

Just tried final approach with super sampling at 1.5 and getting regular red spikes on frame display which I assume means it's dropping frames. This is on a 1080 which surprised me

Final Approach seems quite demanding. I can't run any super sampling and even without it I start to loose frames when the action gets a bit intense.

update for an faulty AC adapter. HTC support open a ticket and i need to send faulty one back first then they will send me a replacement. ( TNT will call to arrange pick up )

ps. i asked to send me a new one first but they won't do that till received my faulty one

So last night I managed to break my lampshade whilst sword fighting a skeleton. It went to do a overhead strike on me so I thrust my hand in the air to block with my sword and punched the lampshade, which promptly fell onto the floor and broke in two.

I need to be careful otherwise it will make a hell of a claim form to the insurers when I have to explain how I managed to break my TV whilst fending off a zombie attack or something lol

hi could someone check that these supersampling settings are correct

So after about a month of no issues it seems one of my base stations has become faulty, it just doesn't track anything from that side and the screen goes grey, controllers float around etc. Very disappointed that the warranty with OC is apparently only 28 days, the reason i cancelled my order with HTC and ordered on here is because i had heard how bad HTC's customer service is.

Yeah, that's what happens

Power on, all seems fine on face of it. Anyways, just pointing out that's what happened to one of my units, power failed a week later.

Doubt its 28 days?

Thought under the 'Sale and Supply of Goods Act' the contract is with the retailer as they are the person who you paid your money to

Yep i would have thought so too but i contacted OC and that's what they said, i'm not impressed or amused. Really can't be bothered with the long drawn out process of dealing with HTC.

The power supply is the same as any other Switching power supply, just need the correct voltage and current rating, along with the right size connector of course.

I doubt it has a transformer in it as it does not get warm, is too small and lightweight, it will be a switching type as most modern ones are.

I guess it will slow process. I am still waiting for someone from TNT to contact me to arranger pick up my faulty ac adapter .

HTC Vive support told me that they could send me a new one first if i bought the HTV Vive direct from them but as i bought from Overclockers UK they will need faulty one back first before sending a replacement.

btw Overclockers UK support only redirect me to contact HTV Vive support.

The law is the law.

Phone them back, look up and quote back to them the 'Sale and Supply of Goods Act' or get down to citizens advice maybe give trading standards a bell to find where you stand.
