Huel: The Future of Food ..

Fine, managing the hunger OK but the monotony is already setting in with only drinking liquids. I’ve “cheated” this morning and had yogurt/almonds for breakfast but still to the 400kcal value.
Have you thought about the hot meals, just to break things up a bit?
As I'm doing 18/6 I'm just sticking to one huel shake a day (400cal) and having a proper meal too. I'm not downing it in one go though, more sipping it throught the day as I'm terrible for snacking.
I did well in the previous lockdowns but this one has done a number on me and I've put on a lot of weight.

I hadn’t thought about getting the new meals as a secondary goal was to get into ketosis and the meals are too carby. But I’m not sure it would make much of a difference at the end of the day with the calorie intake already being low. I might order the meals later, they’ll be with me tomorrow.

I think normal Huel has far too many carbs as well for ketosis.

I got the Black Edition so 3x those each day is 39g net which should do it. I know the recommended is 20g net but I got away with a daily average of 35g when I did it back in 2019. I give it another day before I check my wee and see. :D

Just removed and edited my whole post. :o

So to rephrase...have many tried only Huel Black Edition 3 x a day for 10 days or so?

Or having just breakfast and lunch using Huel?

Just made this from the 2 bags...may give this a go. :) I fast anyways 16/8 so wouldn't be too bad.

Huel Black doesn't pack enough Carbs if you are exercising. I have a couple of bags but I only use the black late evening.

Got to look at Huel as not as feeding for what you want to do not what you have done, guess that goes for any food though.

I've read the last six pages which have discussions about the Hot & Savoury meals but that was some time ago when there was only two flavours. Anyone tried the newer ones - Sweet & Sour, Mexican Chilli, Korma?

You have to order three bags at a time (at least initially) so I wonder which three are best.

Tried the three new hot Huels. I was most hopeful for the Sweet & Sour, but that's a little bland. Madras is a bit spicy for my taste but I love the Korma!

:)

The problem is, surely it's like asking which Quality Street is best. Everyone will have a different answer.

Yeah, I just went with my initial three. The Mexican one seems to get good reviews on YouTube though. I wonder if they deliver on a Sunday.

As for the normal Huel, I seem to have found my ideal combo - Black U&U with 10g cacao powder. It’s like drinking a chocolate milkshake!

Mmm mmm mmm. I've just had a bowl of the Mexican Chilli and it was delicious. Pretty much like any vegetarian one you'd get in a tin. No spicy sauces needed with that, it tasted just right.
