your bios seems to be set for ide mode which shouldnt be a problem regarding booting

if you pop in the windows dvd disk then at the gigabyte splash screen press f12 and boot from the dvd drive, then follow the oncreen commands and do a startup repair, then see if it manages to boot

What's the computer going to be used for? If you're wanting to use it for gaming it's not gonna be up to playing the latest games on higher settings.

For £750 you'd get better at OcUK, primarily a better PSU (that one looks a bit worrying!) and a Graphics Card that's up to the task. If you have the option to return the PC then I'd suggest looking into it, I realise it's just been your birthday and returning it would be a disappointment but in the long run it'd serve you much better.

Sorry for being a bit brutal.

sparks.... give me a chance, i havent had a chance to upload the pics yet becouse i have been busy, i dont like it that you call me ignorant eather, darael, i WILL upload the pics as soon as possible, in my own time, i will also go for the CMOS reset after taking the pics, i dont like it that people are just commanding, i do like to take my time with these things or they could create more damage.
I'm not commanding, I'm just trying to help you by doing what I'd do myself.

I've read further in the thread, and letting them come out and fix it is probably a good idea. By changing settings in the BIOS, they could claim that you've fried something - so unless you know what you're doing, leave be until they've fixed the computer and put it right.

When the computer is working, then have a fiddle!

Don't go for that one, you want the 8700 Pulse, essentially the same but this years version and £50 cheaper. Would give you the option to add a 7850 and come in at £750.

What graphics card does the system you have now have?

Has to be said that wiring in the first picture looks an abomination, I would be very disappointed with that for the money you've shelled out.

Looks like it's been chucked together, Literally

Also that PSU looks cheap tacky **** - Problems in waiting me thinks.

...Problems in waiting me thinks.
If you can return and go with the OcUK build to me it's a no brainer, quality PSU and a GPU that's 2 'lines' higher than what you have for the same price.
You probably think we're being a bit harsh but you'll thank us for it in a years time!

AMD*Radeon HD6670 2GB Graphics, i like the one you have linked to, 750 is the budget as well, hmmm decisions decisions

Yeh that graphics card will weep at the mention of BF3 at 1080P ;)

EDIT:

I would ask for a refund.

First of all its a pretty bad PC for the price you paid, at OcUK you get what you pay for.
Secondly that PSU looks like a pile of junk with its horrible wiring and what can only be called pathetic cable management.

OK, i have made my mind up, bad cables, dodgy looking PSU, NOT eaven working, im gonna get a refund, this has truly upset me, good money is paid and i get this, after the amount of time my folks spent researching (a lot), thanks for the advice peeps.

Admin please lock this thread.

Would you like help choosing a product from OcUK?

You can either:

A. Get it prebuilt
B. Build it yourself.

Most of the people on here built it yourself and it is better value for money.

Just say what you need and list a budget :)

that was my first thought seaing the GPU AND PSU

Get a refund and get a real system.

also you how old are you (we wont hold lack of age?xp against you be honest and help is hear)
