lol ok, if you say so, i came here to ask for help and all you did in the end was try to make me buy another pc, you said some BIOS things at the beginning, i am very experienced in the hardware side of computers and the reason that i am at college is becouse i am doing a course on the software side, dont cut me down for that.
The comment of "more money then sence" i find rather offensive, you have just called half my family dumb, becouse they spent ages researching what was good and when it could get delivered ect...
over all i find this silly, a large forum as yourselves and in the end you are tossing insults left right and centre, i almost want to delete my acount and go somewhere else.

thanks for the help........

You've been asking for advice and we've been giving it to you. You seem to be ignoring it.

They also told you what the problem was.
You then spent more money to correct a fault (Dodgy PSU) that could have been done so by refunding that PC and getting a better one.

"they spent ages researching what was good and when it could get delivered ect..."

They spent ages finding a crap PC. If they had looked around properly they would gave come here. OcUK has won many awards which dozens of competitors never even come close to.

the sata controller was in IDE mode when it needed to be in AHCI, keep you posted peeps, as of now i have baught the better graphics card and a 850W XFX PSU to power this machine, i will be doing major ajustments to the case for cable managment and also i WILL be keeping the machine, becouse it is a decent chip that with the right cooling can be overclocked to around 5.00GHZ, thanks for all of the help, i will keep you all up to date on what is going on (in another thread).

jake = OUT

Are you for real? You are proper trolling now.

You was told at the beginning of this thread to check the BIOS settings. That was the problem. You ignored everyone, explaining you have "7 years working with computers but I don't dare load the BIOS settings up"..

Yes, your family must be 'dumb'. To spend so much time 'researching' to buy that heap of over-priced and under-spec'd junk.

This thread needs closing.. :(

Oh for **** sake, grow a pair and stop acting childish people, i have been a member of this forum for less then 4/5 days and the amount of agro this is causing is pathetic, at least i have a computer that i can play with, spend money on and have fun with, but no, i have to do all these things to make it worthy for the OC forum, well, i came here to show what i had achieved and what i plan to do and yet im cut down with how im wrong and more rubbish, if you dont like it then dont look at my threads, what ever happened to a nice community.
pathetic......

Im sorry your calling us pathetic? :D

We advised you on what to do and you ignored us and then went "oh hey I found the issue..."
Which to be fair I did on my first build as Hono will remember ;)

But you or your family bought a really crappy machine for the money and we then advised you to refund it and get one with:

A. Much better components
B. Cheaper or better value for money
C. Parts of actual quality.

i just hate the fact that all of this has developed into an argument, i am not calling any of you pathetic, i find this whole topic pathetic, as for the "crappy machine" i find that it suits me fine, now can this thread be locked or deleted..... anyone

" as for the "crappy machine" i find that it suits me fine"

This is why we are saying you have more money than sense. We understand that now you have replaced the parts it will be an "ok" machine. But think of it this way.

It will no doubtfully have a cheap motherboard, cheap CPU cooler and cheap RAM which is prolly not running at 1600mhz etc. For a price tag which is way over what it is worth. We aren't saying your decision on the parts is wrong just you have gotten an awful spec for your money. And should return it for one which is worth the money.

how it the motherboard cheap, its the new GIGABYTE Z77-D3H (New Z77 Chipset), also the RAM, its PATRIOT VIPER V3 RED 8GB DDR3 1600Mhz - Performance/Gaming RAM, all thats happening now is you are picking holes in what i have, for example, i could say that your machine was "crap" becouse you only have a 500W PSU but i dont becouse i have no reason to pick holes.

Wattage is nothing to do with power output but rather what the 12V rail can produce in terms of Amps. This 500W PSU can support enough on the 12V rail for a 7950 / 670 and has survived testing by Johny Guru who gave it 9/10.

Well, you can actually see what's in it, the board and RAM don't look bad :p
But it's still a poor GPU and PSU for the price.

aha, right then i have learned somthing about PSU, so what voltage rails are good then, i only go off what Watt the PSU is, also, yes the graphics card and the PSU are bad i know

OP, see you later. Enjoy your overpriced junk build. Some people are literally beyond help. Yes, that means you.
