Hull - Weather - flooding.

I'd have thought filthy water rushing into a massive open wound with open arteries and veins would give him a bit more than an infection.

Nevertheless, sad story if it's true :(

Yes plus theres the eye of the media and public there - what if it went horribly wrong then they would have effectively been to blame

You think it'd just swell up a little? Go ahead and pump river water into your bloodstream and see how you feel :p

apart from infection it wouldn't do much, the artyrs are severed, which means you wouldn't be pumping water into your blood stream.

Sheffield is really bad now, live pics on Sky News and BBC 24. Lots of people trapped, 3 RAF rescue helicopters there now airlifting people to safety.

I've just been watching this on news 24 - shocking considering sheffield is a 30 minute drive for me

RAF helicopter just went over my house and sky news were covering the area literally 1 min away

Electricity also momentarily cut off whilst playing CS, got a shock :o

Got back from work at 6, This was taken at 7

The water is up to my door but not in at the min. Garden shed is in 4inchs of water, quite a lot of tools + strimmer all wet, and now drying in my bath.

I had a look under the floor next to the gas meter and where is normally a dark 3foot deep whole with dust is about 2inchs from the joists with cold slimy water.

All i can say is am glad iv renewed my house insurance.

What worried me is that all my downstairs plugs run on wires that are now 2 feet of water including 2 juntion box's, seems like water doesn't travel through water as much as people say. If it goes i'm going to lose my Tv and net

Yes they have, for a while they were Sainsburys at Jacksons, but last month they started to change them just to Sainsbuys Express
