Those out taking pictures, why are you wading through smelly sewer water just to take pictures?

When did you take those mate, last night?

No wonder it took me over an hour to leave Chesterfield today :(

They were taken yesterday, not sure who took them though, theyve been passed around, id think 4pm ish.

Bet there will still be a hose pipe ban.

All that water is shocking and how it brings everything to a standstill shocking still.

I'm writing this from the library right now, my accomadation(unite flats) in sheffield was hit pretty badly, it's next to the river and the car park underneath flooded and the area around. Our water got contaminated so last night we had to move out to the unite property on London Road. Was pretty manic had to wade through about 2 feet of water to get out of the area. No internet and water at my place now and barely electricity but have to pack still. Really feel for the other people affected much worse. :(

Probably the most hectic and worst day in Sheffield/South Yorkshire for a long time. Was sat gobsmacked watching Sky News last night, watching the RAF choppers airlifting people away. Was strange when you recognize roads and places you've been to, not 2 days before to be under 6 feet of water.

The big concern at the minute is that the Ulley Dam doesn't burst, read that its stable for now but not out of the woods yet. The weather report says there could be more heavy rain on saturday, not good if that happens. :(

great - so now in sheffield we have a dam with 43 acres of water in it about to burst 5 minutes from my work LOL
