Humble Choice

You'd probably save money even if you did end up subbing each month, every time you cancel they fire over discounts for re-subscribing.
It’s more just think I’d rather buy games I actually wanted in the first place. If they happened to appear on the bundle then all good but my selections are very slim these days.

It's basically just been downhill ever since the crash/spyro/cod headline bundle. Soon as they made it so you can see all games, the offerings have been meh. I can't remember the last bundle I actually bought, for me it's mostly been just grab a key for the odd game in the bundle I want.

Still mad I missed that 1

Good bundle for me, wanted Core keeper.
It does feel like some of the games are money laundering scams USAID style, taking of which how do you guys unload unwanted game keys, can I just post them here?

arghs forgot n missed the tomb raider one :(

3 main keys resold and discounted:

If it's any consolation, they've run out of keys for it anyway :D , so there's no telling if/when I'll get to actually redeem it :(
Wow I'm such an idiot! I've been with Humble choice since 2017 and paid every month for the games, expecting they were being added to my collection but haven't always "claimed" them as I figured I'd already "bought" them. That game I would play on my ROG Ally and I can't even claim it yet!

I figured the keys were bought and I owned the game, not that they doing some shady overbooking crap like Jet2!

I've been meaning to cancel for ages but as it was donating to charity I left it, what a muppet!

Looks like I've got a lot of clicking to do and I'll be claiming all my games soon!

Just paused this month as I've got RE Village on the PS5 but I could kick myself for not cancelling or pausing on the previous crap months! Doh!

Ffs I can't claim my Ghostrunner 2 either from July 2024!

Granted, I've just checked and got it free on EPIC but I paid for that month and should be able to get it or donate the key on Steam and I can't!

Yeah, expiring of keys even if you've claimed has really come in over the past few years and especially since June last year when the changed quite a few things, now pretty much all games have to be activated within a year (and sometimes less).

I used to just claim and activate the games I was interested in, now I claim and activate everything and like you have been going back and claiming especially since I've got a Steam Deck.

I've just let my subscriptions keep renewing when I should have been more careful. A couple of Euro syndicate colleagues have left work so I've cancelled my DD to that, saving about £20 per month (can't win 50 million now though :( lol) and now I'm targeting other subs like this one.

I just figured I'd get around to playing the games at some point but some of the ones last year were really bad for games, or just not my cup of tea.

I guess the price has gone up recently as well which made me notice it to be honest. I'll just keep remembering to pause every month (or cancel and renew) for the games I'm likely to play. I thought more was being donated to charity but it looks like only about 50p was, maybe slightly more now with the increase.

I made the same mistake, spent several days over Christmas going through them as steam locks you out after claiming a certain amount and you have to wait a couple of hours. (steam library went from 350ish to almost 900!)

Quite a few had expired, many others out of stock but if you try and claim them, you will get an email when they come back in.
Also some have been changed to EGS.
There's a site someone put together tracking expirations, I posted it here a couple of pages back.... I'll find it when at my PC

Maths would suggest, you probably weren't desperate to play any of those 550 games. Not that they weren't your legal property, which they should have been

Pacific Drive isn't even 12 months old and I can't claim that one either. :( From the 2025 March choice games.

I've paused this month but if next months games suck, I'm 100% cancelling!

On the odd bundle I have bought, I just revel all my keys straight away. Humble has always had an issue with "keys exhausted" even though they are selling the game on the shop, but switching them to EGS keys is just scummy.

You're not wrong, there are a lot of games on there that I probably wouldn't ever get around to playing, but when I do find the time/energy to game (and don't know what I want to play), I would occasionally flick through Humble and redeem something... I'd claimed maybe 5-10%, but liked to leave the rest there and have several times listed them on here to give away, or given away to people I know IRL.
Most of those months I didn't pause because there was at least one game on there that I could see myself playing at some point... although tbh most of those have since been free through EGS or Prime :P
And I probably have enough games now to last me well into the 23rd century  (2-400 each on EGS and GOG as well as the ~900 on Steam!)
