Hungarian Grand Prix 2012, Budapest - Race 11/20

Think he was doing low(er) fuel runs than Maldonado and then the rain came and nobody could improve on the times already set.

Yeah other teams respecting the rules is a bad thing I suppose, not sure how you can declare cheating as fantastic? if this report is true off course.

F1 has ALWAYS been about pushing the rules and innovating. If you play safe, you won't win. Simple.

You can either play safe (as I think you would) and lose OR you can push the boundaries of those rules and with a bit of luck, you will have the best car on the grid. The proof: RBR's stellar performance over the last 3-4 years.

Personally. I like to win....though I am very competitive by nature. And my way of thinking is that if you are not ultra competitive, you really shouldnt be working for an F1 team.

Ferrari have not really innovated anything this year have they, they said it was innovative for them as it was a break from their normal design ideas, they have nothing on the car that is innovative.

It is quite possible that they have innovations. But they are all hidden away from the eye. Remember, just because you cannot see the "innovation", it doesn't mean its not there. They did go against the norm with their suspension system, though. Perhaps that is allowing them to make gains in other areas.

PS: with regards to cheating, RBR have NEVER been found to be cheating. I'm not sure where you got this from.

What I posted adjusting the suspension of the car while in parc ferme conditions would be cheating, you said it was fantastic.

What innovations do you think Ferrari have that nobody can see? Yes the front suspension is not the norm but it's not innovative either. Most thing in F1 have been done before.

Didn't see P3 this morning but times below -

Bruno up there again! Glad to see Webber getting some good results. Ill be happy to see him finish above Vettle this year. Would be nice for him to take the title too, but I can't see it.

Well, if Red Bull have a setup that allows them to adjust the suspension settings by hand, then it is clearly illegal.

34.5
If a competitor modifies any part on the car or makes changes to the set‐up of the suspension whilst the car is being held under parc fermé conditions the relevant driver must start the race

In order that the scrutineers may be completely satisfied that no alterations have been made to the suspension systems or aerodynamic configuration of the car (with the exception of the front wing) whilst in post‐qualifying parc fermé, it must be clear from physical inspection that changes cannot be made without the use of tools.

Pretty clear cut there.

Horner with the usual 'teams complain as we are at the front.. dont hear this against Ferrari, Mclaren etc
