God damned, I'm watching on skygo with like a minute delay or so, was on phone with the rents, and heard my dad yell Rosberg, then I heard their tv say "he's hit the barrier"...... when sky go caught up I was disappointed

It's a red flag because there were a bunch of cars out with dry tires on with a fast straight with a car right in the firing zone for people outbraking themselves.

Red flag wouldn't be for the weather.

Also could easily have been entirely screwed due to the different strategy and safety car. Yes that happens, and can happen to anyone but it's still just another piece of luck that went for Rosberg, against Hamilton.

Yes, plus two quali sessions where his own mistakes have cost him.

Has to be a pretty hollow feeling for Rosberg if he goes on to win this championship given it's only due to Hamiltons bad luck

I doubt he will give a flying ****. If you were World Champion would you really care what happened to your competitors?

The only people it will matter to is Hamilton and his fans.

I'd want to know I'd won it on merit. Not just because the other guy kept having bad luck and not able to race properly

I don't think he'll give a damn, ultimately in a fair fight he's lost, even in slightly unfair fights(the alternate strategy and the safety car giving him all the time back, so ending up with a huge tire advantage) he's lost. only when Hamilton has been completely screwed or made a silly mistake has Rosberg won.

Ultimately most drivers would take title + team mate bad luck vs no title. If he was faster and better than Hamilton on track then yes, you'd be a bit disappointed but when Hamilton hasn't had problems he's won and proven better on track. Without bad luck Hamilton would be miles ahead at this point. Both because Hamilton could have maybe 60-70 points more than he has now, but Rosberg would have 20-30 points less as well.
