Hungarian Grand Prix 2014, Hungaroring Race - 11/19

Massa had two retirements in 2008 and they were both his own fault, not mechanical failures.

Massa's engine failed three laps before the end in Hungary, when he was in the lead, so although he was technically classified it had as much impact as a technical retirement and although he collided with Coulthard in Australia he retired due to engine failure.

Alonso ahead of Massa, in a much worse car. Would Williams go for Alonso, would he go to Williams, would they have enough of a budget to afford wages for him?

I really think Williams makes the most sense if Alonso was to move on, fast, moving forward. He has issues with Ron and Mclaren aren't likely to be hugely competitive next year(maybe years afterwards). Massa is massively underperforming and hitting everything out there on track, being spanked silly by a massively less experienced driver. Red Bull, can't see Vettel leaving yet and Ricciardo looks great so don't think RBR would want to dump someone who could be with them for the next 8+ years for someone who has a couple years left.

I'd love to see Alonso at Williams, I could see that working very well for both. He'd give Mercedes a real challenge in that.

Vettels got a lot stronger recently....

Possibly, will be interesting when we get back to a more power track. Vettel's(and RBR in general) have excelled on twisty, turning tracks. He picks good lines and controls a car great but maybe it's his heavy braking into corners off long straights where he isn't as good a driver. Maybe his resurgence is more a case of type of track than specifically getting better in the car. See how he does in the next few races.

Fantastic quali all because of a little rain.

Was hoping Bottas would get first row, but have a feeling he should have Vettel on race pace.

Really hoping JB csn improve on 7th in the race, especially vs FI and hopefully Alonso ( really not convinced by that ferrari)

Hopefully he will get him off the start as vettel is on the dirty side.

Am I the only one who gets annoyed when they talk about it being a 100% German car, yet their whole outfit is based Northamptonshire?

Anyway, was a rather good qualifying session. Shame for Kevin crashing out, but more great stuff by Bottas. :D

BMW's are built here, don't call them English.. They're a German car?

see..

I think it's pointless debating luck thing. It's a part of f1. It's also a team sport.
Yes you would rather win purely on ability but that will never happen

Rosberg did well/was lucky not to crash at corner 1

This will be a very hollow title win for Rosberg. Not that he will see it that way!

No it won't. Does anyone now care or call alonsos 2005 title a shallow victory as kimi was faster than alonso but had more bad luck? Only this season have I ever known people to care so much about everything having to even out. None of you cared that alonso had more bad luck than vettel and more reliability woes for one of vettels titles or that alonso had to nurse a car for race after race due to getting to the limits of engines or face penalties.

It's a team sport not the Lewis Hamilton show. Ay other time on here people say "maybe x is harder on the equipment". Now it's Lewis people are trotting out the utter rubbish that its because Rosberg is German. The same team that wouldn't let Rosberg challenge Lewis a year ago?

People are acting like in even reliability is a new thing. The levels of butt hurt on here and hatered at Rosberg is laughable. It's going to get worse as well, the reliabilty will get worse and worse. I can't believe people thought it would get better this year.

Hamilton will still make the podium.
