Hungarian Grand Prix 2014, Hungaroring Race - 11/19

yes he should have slowed down and jumped out of the way for a car that wasnt even within 1 second.

Er can you not read properly? I said well done....

Typical butthurt hamilton fan... getting upset and not thinking even when i compliment him LOL!

Clearly more than you because as I said Hamilton didn't stop again.

Great race, great result. Good driving all round and some bad luck for Rosberg. Hamilton made the right call not letting him past but could he have won the race if he pitted when Rosberg did and be faster and on new tires?

Considering how badly Rosberg got screwed by the safety car I think he did well considering e time he lost for a while with the brakes.

Major luck for Hamilton but he was due some.

Still think they should have pitted Rosberg the moment it was evident that Hamilton wasn't going to let him past, Which Hamilton was well within his right to do so.

Hamilton being in the lead should actually get first option for pitstop. So would have covered Rosberg if everything was happening as in other races.

Of course if Hamilton doesn't take it, it's his fault.

Jeez, even Wolff is propagating this "SC ruined Nico's race" rubbish now!

Yes Nico was unlucky with the SC but he was still miles ahead of Lewis and yet was beaten by him.

Nico was useless today. Went backwards a place or two after the SC, couldn't get past Vergne at all, couldn't close up to Lewis despite being on faster tyres.

But it did ruin his race, without the safety cars he would have won, simple. It's not like he dropped it like Lewis and was lucky to get away with it?

I know Hamilton gets the choice of the pitstop, but he wasn't going to pit anyway. So it would have made more sense to just bring Rosberg in as soon as Hamilton said "he's got to overtake".

The way his pace was at the end of the race I think he could have possibly been past Hamilton & Alonso by the end.

Kinda what RB did with Ricciardo.

Its a silly state of affairs this.

Who ever you support ham fan or not anybody asking a driver to lift for probably two seconds when the person comming through it your championship rival its silly. To be honest I wouldnt have expected any driver to let nico psst in that situation.

At the time lewis was catching alonso. Its very silly to think any driver would have let another racer through and I think mercedes were foolish to ask.

Had he driven to his gearbox like the last lap I can understand.

He would also have won if he passed Vergne.

But he had brake issues, which keeps getting forgotten because its not Hamilton. Hamilton caused his wing issues Rosberg didn't cause his probably. Rosberg was flying until the safety car.

Quite a few cars of which Rosberg was one didn't seem to leave a cars width on overtaking either.

Non sequitir. Just because he would have won without the SC doesn't mean it was responsible for ruining his race.

If he'd driven like Lewis or Alonso did after the SC, he'd have still won. He was 5th in the fastest car in the field and should easily have fought his way back to the front but failed to do so. That's what lost him the race.
