Hungarian Grand Prix 2014, Hungaroring Race - 11/19

But he had brake issues, which keeps getting forgotten because its not Hamilton. Hamilton caused his wing issues Rosberg didn't cause his probably. Rosberg was flying until the safety car.

Quite a few cars of which Rosberg was one didn't seem to leave a cars width on overtaking either.

Hamilton also had overheating brakes.

He wasn't handicapped for the entire race, just a few laps where he may have had a problem behind the SC and soon after.

Non sequitir. Just because he would have won without the SC doesn't mean it was responsible for ruining his race.

If he'd driven like Lewis or Alonso did after the SC, he'd have still won. He was 5th in the fastest car in the field and should easily have fought his way back to the front but failed to do so. That's what lost him the race.

Ah cool so the engine issue didnt cost Lewis the win either, he should have just driven faster in the fastest car with the biggest car advantage since 93.

Of course it cost Rosberg the win. As did the engine issue for Hamilton.

All brake problems last for exactly the same amount of time and are exactly the same. Thanks of clearing that up.

You have to say from Mercs point of view if they released Rosberg from the dirty air he might have won the gp or finished higher than Lewis did. They care about that more than who wins. In that respect you can see why they wanted Rosberg released. It was pointless Rosberg being glued to his gearbox. I can understand why Hamilton did what he did but I think a merc car would have finished higher.

Some sugar in Lewis tank for the next race I think.

Lewis should take some water and a tea bag with him for the next race, he can then pull over and have a cuppa while waiting for Rosberg to get passed.

LOL, and they say the Hamilton fanboys are bad

Rosberg was 5th after the SC and had a car easily capable of winning from there yet he didn't. He has only himself to blame but prefers using the SC as an excuse to whinge.

At least Lewis is prepared to stand up and admit when he's done a poor job. Nico clearly isn't and it has to be someone's fault.

No he doesn't he apologises two weeks later when he everyone makes him see it was his fault :p

Rosberg clearly had an issue for a while, it cost him time. The safety car cost him a win. I'm 100% sure that's what would be said if the exact same happened to Hamilton. In fact the brake issue would be another conspiracy :p

Rosberg must be feeling the pressure going into the mid season break only 11 points in front after all these messed up qualifying sessions from Hamilton. I've never rated Rosberg before but he's surprised me in his coolness and ability to perform under pressure so I'd never have expected him to be in front of Hamilton regardless of luck.

As it happens, as Hamilton said before the race, he should have been 20+ points in front considering all Hamilton's bad luck recently. It just shows how much Hamilton has performed when he hasn't been hit with bad luck - to a higher level than what Rosberg has managed I think it can be said.

When was the last time Rosberg has beaten Hamilton in a straight-up head to head in the race?

Gonna be fortunate to do that barring something unexpected happening or we find out overtaking is a lot easier than anticipated even if you could drive the car flat out but the way you have to baby these cars keeping them inside the tyre/fuel limits, no chance.

Lewis will overtake at turn 1-2-3 and 5. Lewis done some good overtakes here last year and he is great on saving fuel.

See I WAS right ;)

Well if i was in Rosberg's position i would definitely be feeling the pressure. He should be about 50 points ahead of Hamilton with all the bad luck Hamilton has had this season.

Maybe he is not showing it in interviews but i wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't sleep well at night.
