Not sure why Ferrari would move the championship leader over to let Kimi win that would be rather pointless given how far behind Kimi is. Such is the track they knew there was little danger of anyone overtaking them.

As much as I dislike Ferrari, and feel a bit sorry for Raikkonen, surely not letting him past was by far the best option, Hamilton vs Raikkonen in a working (and possibly faster in theory) Ferrari means he was never going to overtake, against a damaged Ferrari with Vettel he stands a better chance (although probably still wouldn't get it). They put themselves in the best position to retain the 1-2.

Of course Raikkonen is clearly the number 2 driver, and I do find it bizarre that drivers let themselves get into that position from the perspective of a racer, on the other hand millions of pounds/euros for not having to really do that much why not :p

Finally caught the race, I feel sorry for whoever cuts the race footage to make the "highlights". The only bits worth watching was the start and the very end with if Hamilton could give the place back without loosing another to Verstappen.

Lol...even if that was a definite screwjob (it was far too close to have been planned) that would still only be 195 vs 123 points. People overlook how poor Kimi has been at some races this season, well off Seb's pace so much so the president called him out on it.

Ferrari did the right thing, they ended up with a 1-2, rather than a 1-4.

The race was dull and this new formula sucks in terms of overtaking. It's nice that we have a real championship battle but it's not really being decided out on the tract.

Ah when Kimi pitted and Seb was released and put in fast laps to stay ahead? yup clearly Ferrari screwed Kimi there :D Kimi probably could have done the same yesterday to Seb....but still hardly a long list of Kimi being screwed is it? How about Bottas being used to interfere with Seb in Spain at the cost of his own race? or Bottas moving for Lewis in Bahrain....is he being screwed too?

Ferrari are behind Seb no doubt about it but that's due to him being quicker than Kimi more often than not. I expect Kimi will be on it at Spa as usual then have 3 or 4 mediocre races....
