Are you really the best driver if you need to slow down to the point drivers can't start laps or to keep them behind in the dirty air?

Says a lot about Hamilton and the person he is.

Legally timewasting is in every single sport where time is ticking. Do you go round saying the same in football or rugby?

As Horner said, Hamilton is under no obligation to get RBR round the lap in time. It is his right. Just like there is no obligation for a goalkeeper to pick up the ball. Go challenge the keeper if you want them to pick it up.

Verstappen could have tried to get ahead if he wanted.

He'll technically get away with it but it doesn't make it sporting in the slightest. I have little respect for the former world champions who won through such methods. I'd have a lot more respect if they just drove to the best of the ability. I certainly would like to hear what conversations happen with Perez as they'll definitely want to use him more in this championship battle.

There is nothing to 'get away' with.

I suppose you always complain about SC restarts and the games that happen there?

How about leaving a car out on bad tyres to slow down competition? Also have a problem with it?

What safety restart games? Waiting to accelerate.... Woah!

Anyone can get past old worn tyres unless it's Monaco.

Neither of these scenarios have any resemblance to the topic at hand...

Of course it does. Taking action within the rules to give yourself a strategic advantage.

According to you its a sign of cowardice to resort to that.

Hamilton was just waiting to start his hot lap btw.

It's pretty naive to say that Hamilton was just 'waiting' to start his hot lap. We all know what he was doing the whole way round. Open your eyes.

Only reason to wait is for an advantage. Just like at a SC restart. The exact same reason in both scenarios.

You just want to pick on this example of gamesmanship for some reason.

Lol they are completely different, one is where everyone is racing to the end, the other is to stop the racing as Lewis is already on pole and didn't want Max to have a shot at another fast lap. Surely you can see the difference. Hence why no one has complained about safety car restarts

Actually only people who dont want to see Hamilton do well are complaining.

This doesnt fit your pre-conceived notion of all out racing. F1 has never been all out racing. See SC restarts, tyre strategies, using teammates etc.

F1 engineering is built on the notion of breaking the spirit of rules to get an edge.

The only one throwing out silly comments is you. I am happily discussing the events. Please keep your snide comments to yourself if you are incapable of discussion.
You have proven you are incapable of discussion, and are blind to all the other scenarios that others have pointed out, but because apparently Lewis going slow to maintain a gap he’s a cheat, get over yourself man
