Lol they are completely different, one is where everyone is racing to the end, the other is to stop the racing as Lewis is already on pole and didn't want Max to have a shot at another fast lap. Surely you can see the difference. Hence why no one has complained about safety car restarts

Were there any other cars in front of Lewis on his out lap?

I've already posted what Lewis did wrong, why can't you read it the first time round?

Because there is no substance. He'll 'get away with it' is the exact statement used by people who can't show a real argument. He 'stopped' racing happening. Last I checked the clock was ticking and cars were free to move.

Your posts have no real point. Horner understands that this is gamesmanship like every game/sport ever made.

If Hamilton had gone slower on his out lap than his previous (he didn't) or if he had left a far greater gap between himself and the car ahead of him, RB and Horner would've been all over it. The fact none of them care suggests Hamilton was at worst, as slow as the other drivers ahead of him on the out lap.

He'll technically get away with it but it doesn't make it sporting in the slightest. I have little respect for the former world champions who won through such methods. I'd have a lot more respect if they just drove to the best of the ability. I certainly would like to hear what conversations happen with Perez as they'll definitely want to use him more in this championship battle.
Then you have no respect for anyone because I guarantee every World Champion would have done this at some point
Certainly in modern times

As for overtaking on the outlap, it would have been difficult to do without overheating the tyres. All teams were clearly trying to get their tyres within a very narrow temperature window.

Yeap definitely, was clear when Norris in Q2 or Q3 did a really good middle sector but then tyres got too hot and he was down significantly on the final sector. Think Sainz was similar before he crashed.

It’s certainly backfired somewhat, but the media and fans just can’t let it go.

I agree that's why Max didn't. Unfortunately Perez kind of needed him to.

We've seen drivers overtake on the warm up lap before many times, I don't think it's that bad. It also occurs to me that, as Hamilton actually did a faster time than previous laps, Red Bull had run this way too fine. They were lucky Max even got a run.

True, but the margins seemed particularly fine for these tyres, especially if Hamilton fought back.

I am not a fan of Lewis but boy is it entertaining watching him rub salt into Verstappen and Horner's wounds. Haha.

Pretty much seems the Mercs have been able to turn it up as even Bottas got second.

It’ll be an interesting final stint of the season. Mercedes seem up there and we’re yet to see which team needs to take additional components or to turn their engines down. It’s wide open, that’s for sure.
