Are Ferrari likely to give team orders at all? Doesn’t really help them if Sainz wins. I’m not sure he’s really a contender for the championship..

Hopefully merc get quicker in the race. I've got 60p on ham 1st or 2nd!

Their race pace is usually much better than quali and eith Hampton being good here it could be on

Reckon ham will have his tentative start and go back a place or 2 off the start and end up making a few places back at each pit stop. Russell doesn't necessarily need to come out of turn 1 first with the ferrari strategists.

It's interest the media are making a huge spectical out of Russell getting pole. Headlines like 'F1 turned upside down' etc.. I don't remember the massive hyperbole when other random poles (or fastest qualifying laps) have occurred.

I feel like Sainz and Leclerc crashing into one another is the only one missing from Ferrari balls up bingo this season so at some point it’s gonna happen

Both have form on crashing into teammates.

Weather forecasts look nice and interesting. Good chance of a wet start / rain, Russell on pole, Ferrari need to concoct a way for Charles to get past Sainz and Max / Checo starting in 10th / 11th.

Sounds like it could be a very good race.

Max, Pérez, and Gasly have swapped out their engines. No penalties for the Red Bulls as within the allowed limits but Gasly starts from the pit lane.

I'm losing touch with some rules these days, after reading your first sentence I thought there was a relatively small grid penalty, compared to the big penalty of a new engine beyond the yearly quota.

I believe you can change same spec engines under parc ferme during a weekend now as long as it's within your engine pool and also as long as it's not a newer spec engine.

I'm confused too, tbh. I knew there were no penalties up to the limit of engines, but I thought they weren't allowed to make these kind of changes between Quali and Race. I can see Max arguing that it was a necessary repair since he suffered a failure at the end, but Pérez? I dunno, seems odd to me.

If it's cool then the Mercedes could be sitting ducks for the first lap or two...
