Hungary Grand Prix 2011, Hungaroring Circuit - Race 11/19

Inters start in a drying race would do well for Hamilton I would have thought as he'd probably not need to use the primes as he saved a set of options.

Not sure what the various tyre options degradation have been like here so far?

so long as its only rain enough for inters, then all will be good.. if it is heavy enough that full wets are needed, then its going to be too much..

Car that Brundle is driving is the pirelli test car (which is an old toyota)..

I know I'm a page late on the Button rain discussion, but I think it's a bit harsh to say that his tyre decisions were all luck. He had 2 really well timed tyre stops last year. One of them seemed quite fortunate as his inters were going off and he gambled. But it still took good judgement. On the other occassion it wasnt as desperate a move, and just seemed to be well judged. Luck played its part, but choosing the right tyre at the right time is a key skill in changing conditions and if you compare Button to Hamilton, I think Button is clearly better in that one area at least.

Now the track is moist, the left side of the grid may be slower than the right side. Water will float on the rubber that's been laid down over the weekend.

[edit]

Forgot about the GP2 race, that would have lifted a load of water from the left side of the grid...

No grid walk today apparently as it's to far to the comms box. Shame as Brundle would have definately been like a cruise missile gunning for Bernie!
