Hungary Grand Prix 2011, Hungaroring Circuit - Race 11/19

.......... Button will only ever be able to finish 2nd to Hamilton.

you are guessing - and nothing more

Maybe after this season (and by all accounts next season as well) , there may be some definitive proof - but by the looks of things now it will probably be even stephes over each season

If that is the case (even stephens) then all you have sprouted so far is complete **** - and in the last 18 months , it has worked out exactly like this, so no reason (at this point ) to think anything other .........other than people like you who want to degrade another driver's worth.

At this point in the season yes, but by the end you should see Hamilton eek out a decent gap...similar to last season.

Also, don't forget Button is not exactly a chump. He isn't a Heikki. He is a former World Champ, with good race wins under his belt.

Hamilton will beat Button every year, but the gap won't be huge. When you pair 2 world champions, the margin of victory is very small. Take a look at when Alonso met Hamilton...they tied on points.

Don't expect to see either driver, beat the other, by a huge margin. This won't happen*.

*extraordinary circumstances, excepted

Sounds like an excuse to me, if LH was as good as you and most other people claim the end of the season points tally would be heavily weighted in his favour not a close call at all (esp given the fact that majority of races are dry and therefore favour Lewis.....given that JB is so comparatively bad in the dry (from your point of view)

As Ive said before its lucky for LH that Vettel knocked JB out of 2nd at Spa last season, otherwise JB would have been uncomfortably close to his teammate in his 1st season with the team - I fully expect this season JB to be even closer.....if not above him (and no reason apart from pure guesswork to assume otherwise)

Well Frank, I've been right about this for the past 18 months. Until I'm wrong, you will just have to keep schtum and grin and bear it.

FACT (not opinion): over the last 18 months, Hamilton, in identical equipment has outscored and finished ahead of Button in the points standings.

He beat him in 2010.
He is beating him in 2011.
And unless something changes, he will continue beating him, barring any extraordinary circumstances.

Some people can't see past their love for a driver. Myself, if a driver is superior, irrespective of my personal feeling for him, I admit he is superior. You, on the other hand, are unable to do this.

you have added opinion in there in "outraced" as I believe if you look at the FACTS - JB makes more of an improvement in the races than LH does - therefore the latter is being outraced - not vice versa

FACT 2 - without the team ***** up , JB would be ahead of LH in the points at this point in the season (Britain and Germany were both team messing up and loosing JB points more than the difference between them today- FACT not opinion).

LH is just VERY lucky when the team mess with his race he still manages to collect points instead of retire

Agreed. Any points Hamilton lost this season were down to his own mistakes. Button has had by far the worse mechanical luck and occurrences of murphy's law within McLaren.

And Monaco, would have got far more points there if not for the red flag ... :)

I've not read any forums or visited any site for a week as ive not had the chance to watch the F1.

Anyone know of a link so i can re-watch the whole race?

all ifs and buts. There will be countless reversals of luck which could have gone Hamiltons way.

Fact is, for one and a half seasons in the same car, Lewis is better.

Sure it may change by the end of the season but at the moment you can't argue otherwise.

Yup, LH is good, but he's not handed out the beating that everyone was expecting has he? I believe JB's stock has risen and LH's fallen slightly because of this...

sounds like you are blaming JB for team foul ups that JB couldnt have done anything about, because otherwise JB WOULD be ahead of LH, no if or but required

Its already been going LH's way - even when the team foul up(on his car /strategy) LH gets to the flag with a decent amount of points, when it happens on JB's car he has to retire

you (and a lot of others) are just being blind to these facts trying to prove LH is better (in a team he has been in considerably longer, and knows better - and probably has the car designed more to his liking)
