Hyundai i30N

They do look good for a hatch in the grey and black in particular. Got that Mazda mps type discreet status to the less knowledgeable as well.

yes it's deffo good looking.....it's sort of neutral to look at it, it's not OTT like the Type R, next year it's getting a paddle shifter...8 gears and dual clutch...............dont know anything else though, i've read every review going and it's deffo the one to go for.

this is the one...........at the end he mentions the new transmission due out next year.......... this RN30 is 380hp.

this mid engine one they're testing right now will be released in late 2019.........all i know is they're testing another engine right now (not the one in this mid engine thing) , i think it's 2.3L and 380+hp so where's this engine going ?

so if not the RN30, then it looks like two more N Cars late next year !

One drove past me when i was washing my car week before last and it sounded quality to be fair. Dad said it was one of these but i had no idea beforehand. On the surface, it looks good, sounds good, and is pretty quick, but £25k for one? Might genuinely be interested in one in a few years. Didn't catch whether it was Front wheel or 4 wheel drive though? Front wheel drive would suck now :(

It’s price point is highly competitive!
yes but most of all, it's the best of the bunch except for the Golf R which is more expensive......but it's not competing with the Golf R though.

the I30N would also look a lot better with other wheels, no idea why that's not been mentioned in the reviews, they're really cheap and tacky looking.

The civic type R is probably more competent

yes the Type R is more refined and polished, the I30N is raw and basic........but the Type R is just plain ugly, it would embarrass the hell out of you at every petrol station, everyone would be staring at it and pulling faces

An auto with paddles would make for a pretty decent hatch as a daily I reckon. The fact you can stick everything in comfort, no exhaust noise plus the extra doors. Even the rear brace is removable if you need the space occasionally.

i think it is ! for late next year or 2020........but it's two seater only, so it's not a competitor to the Golf R or any other hot hatchback is it......you just put your shopping in the passenger seat.
this points to another N car that's a competitor to the Golf R

I’m hoping it does make production especially when you consider they’ve been testing this for some time now. Those body panels look really quite mature as well, plus you have to ask what would be the point in all of this if it didn’t make production. It’s not like you can carry much of the technology of a mid engine car over to the rest of the lineup.

Please make it...!!

yes they've been testing it for ages........ his could be out by next summer......Hyundai have realised over the years that their cars are as boring as hell, i expect they get bored making them too.......their image is dreadful but it's improving quickly, the i30N is all over Youtube as is this mid-engine thing too.
