Hyundai ImageQuest L90D+ 19" TFT

Hmm not impressd that the OCUK site states 16.7 million colours but it appears this is a 16.2 mill dithered panel. Can anyone confirm or is this French site wrong??

Best hope for no dead pixels either as the same website says Hyundai have the worst replacement policy, up to 6 months in one case:(

That is good news, knew I shouldn't have trusted a French site. lol!

Oh btw apparently this is the same panel in the 913n according to that site but the 913N is a 20ms panel, hmmm?

Can any of the OcUK chaps tell me if the pre-orders for this monitor are higher than the amount of the monitor that will come in with the first delivery? I need to make sure I get the monitor before 1st January as I will be going back to uni on the 3rd.

Many thanks.

I asked the exact same question via e-mail three days ago, the reply was "there is more than enough stock to cover pre-orders and then any further orders".

Good good. Just given you £411.19 (+ £9.95 to Amtrak) :)

I seriously hope this arrives on Monday now as the relative who it will be getting delivered to is away from the Thursday onwards so no body would be able to take the delivery :( .

Here is an English Review.

Here is an english review of a range of 19" lcds some of which have 8ms panels.

http://www.behardware.com/articles/534/page1.html

According to the review the hyundai is using the same panel as the new samsung 913n 8ms panel which is probably available in the new year. They are TN panels so are unfortunately 6 bit panels and thus 16.2 million colours. For games the review says they are the best yet but for dvd's and movies they are not ideal because of the dithering of the 6 bit panel.

The site seems to be an english translation of the french site mentioned in a link earlier in this page since they look exactly the same but in english! It also has quite a few other monitor reviews as well. Worth a look!

Arse, I was hoping for a Saturday delivery. Does this mean I'll get a refund on the £26 I paid for Saturday delivery cos there's no point me waiting until the following Saturday (Christmas day!) when I can get it delivered in the week for £10!

May need to change the delivery address now and try to get it delivered to work as couriers always deliver at stupid times when no-one is there:(

Edit:
Also be nice if the OCUK guys can clarify this 16.7mill colour or 16.2mill colour business as this was one of the reasons I decided to order the Hyundai...

Those 2 reviews do look pretty identical - and are therefore probably identically wrong :).

OCuk and the PDF from the hyundai site both say 16.7M colours, so I would be very surprised if a review from a site I've never heard of has better information.

From the Information I Have the Hyundai has 16.7m colours.

No luck with calling, lines are permanently busy and there is no queueing system so I have to redial each time which is a bit of a pain:(

I'll try tommorow and see if I get lucky, if not I'll have to have a think...

Edit:

Anyone got any experience with Amtrak and their estimates of delivery time as I suppose I could always get some time off at short notice if they are fairly accurate.

I don't see why they are wrong, just because it says 16.7million colours on the pdf doesn't mean it is not acheived by dithering. I would rather believe someone who has tested the actual monitor than marketing from the maker. In the review they say that when showing dvds and movies that one can see the twinking from the dithering.

Either way I think I might pass on this monitor as I wanted one for mainly TV and DVD use and since it dithers I think I would rather wait for more reviews and more confirmation.
