Theres a road near me that used to be an NSL but they decided to change the limit to a 40  I still do 80 down it though because it's nice and straight
It might be safe to do 160 down it, but you know its a 40 and its a risk you take doing 80 down it.

It's probably to keep the level of noise down mate

Road accidents are unpleasant, as anybody who, like I, has lost somebody close to them because of the actions of another driver will verify. :(

Someone in mine and stinky's year at school was killed in a road accident in November, in horrific fashion too, i just hope you realise now mate, even if your buddy in the car did say you drive like a granny, **** him, it's your car, not his, you're driving, you're in control. he doesn't like it? make him walk, simple as. Best of luck dude, dont wanna see you lose your licence :)

5 points £180 fine and costs

I would expect somewhere in the region of this, a friend had to appear in court for getting clocked over taking a wagon at 58 MPH in a 30 zone. He appeared in court and they gave him 5 points and a fine I can't remember how much the fine was though.

I was caught doing 67mph in a 40mph zone but a mobile van, i got a court summons but i just pleaded guilty and paid a £200 fine by post. I also got 3 points

It doesn't seem to stop the police using their sirens at 1am and waking me up though. The roads are bloody empty at that time of day too!

Blatant bumpage!

Did we ever find out the outcome? - So many threads like this seem to die without been completed with the whole story.

Stinky ???

Yeah, those damn emergency services trying to save peoples lives. God you just gotta hate them ;)

Na they are aloud to use the sirens if its a real emergency i think.

Pretty shocking really considering someone on the GTi6 boards has just been given a 2 month ban and a £550 fine for doing 110mph in a 70mph... No priors, empty and clear conditions. (Though that is strangly harsh I think).

They seem to pluck these numbers from the air :/

Consider yourself VERY lucky imo.
