the average common or garden car out there would do 60 is 10 secs.

the GPX (and im no fanboy) has 100bhp/litre, a tiny, raspy, gem of a V6 that revs to a trillion. it is regarded as a good handling car on a similar par to the integra r.

in the grand scheme id say its much more special than your average motors out there etc.

what do you drive? do you drive at all? have you had an fto?

No im just very opinionated and a ****. Its just knowing and being interested in cars for so long, my idea of a 'real car' has slowly got higher and higher and it was just the situation and the car and just my ****ness.

I don't mean to offend you, but i just am far to opinionated and **** to people.

lol

PS. oh yes i drive a 306 dTurbo :p, but im 17 so dont have a choice.

i wont deny that i used to be (and am definately still to a degree) the same, but as you are aware so far with your 306, the grand scheme of cars for us normal blokes it limited by things like practicality, money etc etc and for a day to day common-ish car, the fto is a bit of a belter.

you should blag your way into a ride in one, they are pretty damn capable.

but as you have suggest, in the grand scheme there are a more capable cars out there.

i have this wierd idea that a car (IMO) is not really interesting unless is has atleast 6cyls and more than 3 litres... but in the world, im the sorta bloke that can strangly have a world of fun in any car.

at the end of it... cars are great :D

Sorry did i just read FTO and 'real car' in the same sentence?

Not this AGAIN. The manual FTO GPX does 0-60 in 6.3 seconds. Given that it's a normally aspirated 2 litre Coupe, this is actually pretty awesome performance.

It's certainly considerably more powerful than whatever it is you drive!

Wish people would stop saying the FTO isnt fast enough or that it isnt a 'real car'. It's plenty fast enough for what it is - a cheap, good looking FWD Coupe.

It's not as quick as an RX7, a Supra or a Skyline but then it isn't supposed to be, it's a different class of car. Mitsubishi produced the GTO for the nutcase fast brigade.

It is quicker than the Hyundai Coupe, the 406 Coupe, the Mazda MX6, the Ford Probe/Cougar and roughly the same as an Integra Type-R - the similar sort of cars that were around at the time.

Obviously the 1.8 GR is gash but who buys those anyway.
