I Found a Cat!

our 3 cats wont drink milk they never have. (they drink the whiskas cat milk but we hardly ever get it as they always seem to prefer fresh water.

Casper drinks it out of the tap lol

Congrats on your new pet toosepin :)

One of my parents' cats likes curry and cheese amongst other things. Is that bad for him too? ;) Not massively keen on milk unless it's left over in a cereal bowl. They just get water.

Really miss my two cats since moving out. :(

Trying to hold off getting one of our own until we've got the fireplace installed. I'm a bit worried about the little darling climbing up the chimney and getting stuck.

I just feed mine tins of tesco cat food - average £7 a month per cat. The tins work out about half the price of the pouches and you don't get your fingers messy trying to squeeze the food out.

I wouldn't take the cat in permanently but there's no harm feeding him as long as you keep a close eye on his weight. If he starts ballooning then chances are he's also getting fed somewhere else.

Most cats are lactose intolerant - not all, that is why some whill throw up/get the runs and others will just drink it up.

Tuna is also not great - as well as containing more mercury that a kitty should have, it has also been described as "kitty cocaine". Cats will get next to no nourishment from the tuna but will in some cases refuse all other foods except tuna leading to malnutrition. A once in a while treat - fair enough, but it shouldn't be part of a staple diet for cats.

Please, please please get the cat checked for microchips as well as keeping an eye on papers and suchlike.
A friend has a very old cat who is well loved and looked after but because of being old and having liver problems the cat often looks a bit manky or underfed and "helpful" people keep taking her to the RSPCA causing stress for both owner and cat.

Just like to say you didn't find a cat, the cat found you, once you understand this you'll understand the people + cat relationship

West - if Molly has bad breath she probably has a problem with her teeth. My half siamese had this same issue - because he cleaned himself, he stank at times and ended up having to have most of his teeth out before he was 2!

He's allergic to fish too, poor thing, and does like a bowl of warm milk when he's had an upset tummy, but I don't give it to him too often, just as a treat. They all LOVE cheese though :p and all drink water regularly .

Collin looks like a very lucky puddy OP :D *wubs Collin*

Although her brand spanking new red cross medical tag seems to have stopped all that thank goodness! But, yeah, check that no one is looking for puss as it's very worrying when your cat goes missing.

And here is Miss Manky now!

Get yourself down to the nearest CPL and have a look around. The cat will pick you and you will soon know which one it is. All 3 of my cats are the most effectionate little things ever and they love living with us. They would never leave and go find a new home. Garfield imperticular as he is Mrs DG's pride and joy.

Not enough pictures of cats in a cat thread. So here is one of mine. I welcome you to say hi to Garfield.

I'm in your sink cloggin your drainz !?!?

sorry

around here the cats seemed to either be (1) being chased by the psycho squirrel or (2) frantically avoiding the urban foxes ... I do get the odd cat wander in and say hello if I have the garden doors open in the summer ...
