Lol,
I overtake too fast to see what anyones actually doing. I usually get flashed though.
Sometimes when I do, I pull in up the road somewhere out of view, see them go past, and overtake them a second time!!
LOL, its hilarious!

We've all overtaken the odd muppet who takes major offence and goes bonkers when it was totally safe but these people are in the minority. If you usually get flashed, stop driving like a tool.
I forgot that you have, apparently, overtaken every other motorist in the UK, making you supremely qualified to make that comment. I should think it also took quite some time to observe the overtaking actions of everyone else that posted here before you were able to come to the conclusion that we all drive like idiots.
Or, and I prefer this option, you just like to cause annoyance![]()

Anyone had any similar experiences?

I'm still not entirely sure how I kept it out of his back bumper and out of the scenery.
After the second attempt at overtaking him resulted in a full on block and emergency stop, I came to a stop diagonally across the road, took a deep breath and decided the best thing to do was to remove myself from the situation. I wanted to go after him but really, what would I have done, rammed him? There was no winning solution for me so I just pulled out.
I perform safely and actually overtake very rarely, 7 times out of 10 I will get flashed/gestured. Most of the other 3 out of 10 is a car comparable to mine. As such my conclusion is as it was in my first response, people with newer cars don't like getting overtaken by apparent 'sheds'. OK had anyone said they got it all the time I would agree with you entirely, but since nobody has I can't. Mav even pointed out that it was on a dual carriageway and was totally safe (OK his opinion and not being there at the time...who knows eh). At the end of the day, driving a decent car, as you do, you probably miss what I dont.
That was my first thought.[TW]Fox;17115774 said:You must be doing something to annoy them, nobody else ever gets this on dual carriageways! It isnt even overtaking really is it, its going past them in the outside lane!
I drive and have driven pieces of rubbish and I've been flashed, say...10 times in the past 6 years of driving. One or two will have been from stupid overtakes when I was younger. The rest will be people just being holier than thou and deeming a safe overtake to be dangerous. But the majority of the time I do not get flashed, in an old car or in a new one. People get upset when I overtake them in a 2 tonne old Land Rover but they don't flash me.
I can't say I've ever seen that. Are you flashing your parts at them as you pass or something?
Some birk in a Rover waggled his finger at me for pulling out in front of him onto the M6 the other day, he'd done a fantastic job of matching my speed when I was trying to join with 2 empty lanes to his right. It was cut him up or almost stop, I chose the confrontational option.
I recall doing a dodgy overtake on you, and you didn't flick the bird at me![]()
