I had a long sleep

I once had two contracts working 9am to 5pm and then 9pm til 5am weekdays and all day working at the club on the weekends one year. When it all stopped I managed to sleep for 30 or so hours. I can remember getting to my parents place and I can remember getting into bed in the night, but I managed to sleep through the whole of Christmas eve and a good portion of Christmas day. :eeek:

I haven't had as mch as that ever since, managing on maybe 5 hours a night (currently im not getting any sleep due to insomnia)

I often sleep 18 hours in one go. I think my record was when I was at college, done a couple of days without sleep and then when I did go to sleep I was out for the count for 36 hours solid.

When I got back from Egypt I slept for around 40 hours. Had no idea what time or day it was when I woke up. No-one in the house and all the holiday stuff packed away. It was like Home Alone.

That was around 12 years ago, don't think I've slept anything like that since.

I am surprised you went to a country with foreigners and Muslims etc.

i regularly sleep for about 12 hours, i guess the longest has to be about 15hours, did wonder where the day had gone :p

My record is 16 hours, was at an all nighter lan party, stayed there the whole next day, got home at 8pm and slept through till 12pm

I always thought that was ages but after reading some of times on here it seems like a normal nights sleep

I very rarely get more than 4-5 hours straight sleep in at once, I usually wake up once or twice every night :(

However I remember about 10 yearas ago when I was in the navy, I was on a ship at sea, and was in a very deep sleep. I woke up and could not remember anything. My bunk was against the ships side, and the messdeck was pitch black. I was laying there, it total darkness, with the bottom of the bunk above me 1 less than a foot above my head listening to the waves hitting the ships side thinking who am I, where am I, what that crashing sound, why am I rocking from side to side, why is there a metal panel less than a foot away from my face. I tried to get away from the sound by rolling away from it, I rolled straight out of my bunk and landed head first on the deck three feet below me.

Talk about unnerving :(

Done about a 30 odd hour sleep, was after going to a psy-trance rave in London, 14 hours non stop dancing etc, I was a mess, the sleep was good though :D.

Longest ive done was 40ish hours. I came home sick at about 2pm on a tuesday, after my boss made me finish my work before going home (the ***). Went straight to bed and woke up 7pm on the thursday. I proceeded then to spend 2 weeks off work with the worst flu Ive ever had.

I dont like sleeping for too long these days. 8 hours is more than enough most nights. At weekends lounging about in bed is a bit of a waste (if your on your own). Best to get up at about 8-9am on weekends and enjoy the nice long day you get.

I did 22hrs sleep after a night out on the lash, finished off with 6hrs in the hospital after my drink was spiked with Ketamine & Ecstacy.

Found out who the guy was that did it. A friend of my friend who I had met that night.

He thought it was funny. To say the least, he didnt after having to spend his own time in hospital with a broken jaw & nose.

You my friend, win the Alpha dominance award.

Well done you :)

Watch out for medication though close freind of mine had to take meds of a mind affecting nature (long story) docs changed them and he got up to get the train to Liverpool St to work (1.5hrs) around 7am. Next thing he is aware off is he wakes up in hospital, then nods off and wakes up in another hospital.

Turns out he gets on train, meds kick in, doesnt wake up at Liverpool St, someone calls staff, they call ambulance, take him to hospital in London, who determine his medical history etc, he wakes briefly and then nods off again, they transfer him to home hospital where he eventually wakes up. Total elapsed time was between 12-18 hours cant remember precisely.

For some reason my body just would not let me sleep, i was awake for about 70 hours straight. My doctor gave me some tranquilizers (last resort, tried all the 'kalms' stuff, and natural sleep aids) and i went to bed at 2pm on saturday after work, and woke up for 7am on monday :D

Can't see how someone could sleep non-stop for 40 hours, not possible really unless you wet yourself and crapped the bed is it?

You obviously have a week bladder then... funnily enough, i wasn't drinking in my sleep either, and thus had less liquid to get out of my system. I must admit though, popping to the loo on monday morning did feel great :D
