what temperature where you getting please?

32c idle with 50% cpu fan

77c 100% cpu 75% fan - prime 95 small fft after 15mins

I think i'm going to leave this chip at 4.5ghz as that seems good, with a vcore less than 1.28v

I think I could do 5ghz no problem tbh, but if someone wants to pay me the money to find out :D Go right ahead, I don't plan on nuking this just yet, hey, it's not even official yet lol

IIRC you can hit 5GHz by being creative with the volts, with just under 1.40 on the CPU vcore. Now I am not as hot on the MSI BIOS as the Asus but in the Asus you can adjust VRM voltage :D

I think you're right, I can hit 4802mhz at 1.39v, so with a bit of adjustment of the other voltages I reckon this board will also. Just need some other guinea pigs, I mean purchasers of this board to try :p

I hope so!
Didi you just change the multi to get this high?

I pressed the OC genie button on the mobo and rebooted, but I think you can just set the multi to 42 to get the same result.

Here is a guide to getting 4.2

1. Enter UEFI bios

2. Set multi to 42

3. Save and close

Jobs a good'un, if a little bit too easy ;)

Squeezed a little more and got a lower SuperPi 1m time

7.753s

Some of the fastest systems, none of them air cooled, I come in at #10 :D
These SB chips are re writing the rules about prcessing power, get em while they're hot!

Ssssshhh I am start thinking of Sandybridge with graphic card but can I use my own memory ram cos there is no need to buy a memory ram as I had corsair XMS2 triple-channel DDR3 2000mhz memory rams 2gb x 3 slots ?

Yes, just use two sticks of it in slots 1 and 3. DDR3 dual and triple channel memory is the same.
